I made a fitted tablecloth out of velveteen for covering up crumbs or whatever when playing board games I clean the table, but it's nice to not have to be perfect.

Unfinished panel lining so it's just a quick shot but the second attempt I made at putting shadows on the gelgoog turned out well! The first attempt just made them gray and sad, now they're properly purple and dramatic

Still needs panel lining, but this is the first half of a diorama that's mostly come together. The shadows are much more of a lavender than anything, but in their intended context of the yellow background they look great! The beams are some acrylic rods I had lying around that I painted

At a friend's suggestion I made some quick shelves out of a cardboard shipping box to store all my airbrushing crap and it's pretty handy already. Gotta find a box to store most of those paint bottles in though!

Oh damn this new primer is so shiny. I got advice to use a solvent based primer, but Mr Hobby's is super sold out everywhere so I tried Custom Creative's primer which is meant for automotive use so I had to thin it aggressively. But it seems to work great with my wash free airbrush for easy cleanup!

I didn't make it very detailed, but even the blocky colors help the Domon that came with the RG God Gundam. I wish I had figured out a way to give sharing to the face so it looks more contrast-y without trying to add all the little details.

The actually kits for the Mk-2 are way more blue than I feel like the show had them. I have the same issue with the Titans' color Gundam Mk 2. I managed to get a pretty good match to the show's purple, but then unfortunately it photographs as much more just black than I want...

I got a Dspiae wash-free airbrush, and it struggled a bit with primer being too thick/drying on the needle too fast but the paints themselves seem to work just fine with a tiny bit of thinning. So I'm finally making progress on my Qubeley Mk-2 recolor of a MG Qubeley.

After stuffing the body the cloak's seam was sewn onto the neck, with the head then attached to that seam. Then the cowl(?) part was ladder stitched to the head to hide anything messy from stuffing the body or the head.

For whatever reason my brown Tamiya panel liner leaves really inconsistent amounts of actual pigment. Anyone know if there's anything to do to prevent this? I've been shaking the paint for a bit before using it. #gunpla

I'm working on sewing box boxy anime frills, and I'm trying to use some small 3d printed parts sewn in to force the backing material to hold the right angle. It looks like they'll do what I want them to do, but also this means I have to un-break my 3d printer...

Path to the Abyss is fun, but it really seems people bounce off of it 'cause the achievement for beating the first major boss has a 3.9% earned rate. And it was only 3.4% when I got it a week or so ago.

Lol, no worries on the late reply. That just means that I had time to get my own stuff working. The bits were meant to be painted as fireballs, but sorta turned out looking like candy corn. I think the "lightest to darkest" advice makes a lotta sense I'll be sure to do that next time!
