Flyswatter incoming in 3... 2... 1... ~ :D

Mherven the Octobold @mherven.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Aye, this hatz is very chill :D Tiny pteros for him are much more interesting to observe and play with than eat. But he might get grabby with those particularly 'fluffy' ones and would knead-pet-scritch them with his non-flight digits, harmless but insisting :>

That darn tunnel vision on perfection, eh? I remember getting so frustrated on lining one of the WIPs that I just couldn't bring myself to keep on trying anymore and had to drop it. A coupe weeks later I open it up and just go... "Whoah. Did I really draw this? It's gorgeous!"

Yeeeeeah, me being me, perving for them dinos... more to come :>

130

Mherven the Octobold @mherven.bsky.social · 11/03/2026

A little bit of paleoartin'. Couldn't resist to draw a floofasaurus of one of my favorite species - yutyrannus huali. Do not claim to be very scientifically accurate, but I tried to keep it reasonably close to it so... #paleoart ?

The image depicts a feral tyrannosaurid, Yutyrannus huali walking out of the birch forest and onto a snowy clearing. The dinosaur is white in color with dark grey and black snoot tip and patterns along the back, vaguely representing birch bark. Next to the saurian is a half-transparent simplified silhouette of a human to give a better sense of creature's size

Mherven the Octobold @mherven.bsky.social · 26/02/2026

Sadly not all that much is known about female sopes, so had to sorta... "Grab a boy mizu -> downsize some frills and claws -> dull out the colors (no, scratch that, she's soulseer anyway so pale regardless) -> call it a day" The result turned out quite satisfactory me thinks :D

Aaaaaand Spicy versions of both refs because reasons, someone gotta document them monsties for the guild!

0115

Mherven the Octobold @mherven.bsky.social · 26/02/2026

And this one be my Katsumai the Violet Mizutsune. Spicy grumpy soap rope, now THAT is whom that inexperienced gunlancer should've tried to pounce. But maybe good that they didn't...

072

Mherven the Octobold @mherven.bsky.social · 26/02/2026

Commission for a friend. Moki the Soulseer mizutsune! Big girl that got mistaken for a male for her size and managed to cart an overenthusiastic gunlancer enough times to send them back to lobby

Not sure if I've understood the QRP thingy right but yeah, kinda the same. Sometimes have to redo the sketch or tweak it A LOT before it just sorta clicks into place, and from there it turns into a breeze

Here's some close-ups of the Quasar reference. The original sheet is 10000 x 5000 pixels sooooo..... yeah

Fairly late upload, but still gotta upload it. Heckin' proud of this one! Commission for @rubyweapon.bsky.social of her lovely lad Quasar :D

A large reference sheet for a feral dragon named Quasar.
Top-left frame is an illustration that depicts him being underwater, perched on a tall spiky stone, sideways to the viewer, looking away while circled by various fish silhouettes.
Top-middle - three headshots and sheet title. On the top frame Quasar looking cheekily at the viewer with a tip of his tongue sticking out. Left frame shows him being shocked by a sudden realization or something he've seen. Right frame is him showing his teeth in an ominous grin.
Top-right frame depicts Derg presenting his hindquarters to the viewer, showing off those tail plates.
Bottom left frame depicts wingspan, ventral and dorsal wing views and close-ups on the legs.
Middle bottom frame - Quasar is sitting, facing the viewer with his left foreleg slightly lifted.
Right-bottom frame - sideview with a tiny human silhouette by the forelegs, showing the enormous size of this absolute UNIT of a pretty boy

Aaaand a lewd version, because of course :D

021

Mherven the Octobold @mherven.bsky.social · 20/02/2026

Reference for Pirahm, one of the bigger flying folks aboard an airship tasked with catching and bringing back whatever or whomever happen to fall off from the ship during flight. Toothy, nibbly, sassy, lewd, but ultimately friend-shaped :D

Reference sheet depicting a quadrupedal furred dragon with ram-like spiraling horns. Sideview with a wing raised, mainly light-brown in color with darker brown backside and creamy white underside. Frame on the right shows him snarling, annoyed and displaying his teeth. Miniature frame on the left shows him wearing a ship officer cap and badge+whistle combo strapped to a rock

Post your sona and species! Species called "Prodesset", started as now extinct gargantuan hooded eels and evolving into modern bipedal kobold-octopus hybrids that live in fishing villages all over tropical sea shores. It will be open species once the species guide is made and published

031

Mherven the Octobold @mherven.bsky.social · 19/02/2026

And lastly for now - Feral version of Mherven the octobold. Because I love the hecc outta feral-bodied and dragon-like creatures, so why the heck not :D Unlike modern bipedal prodessets, male feral prodessets each sport an elaborate glowing pattern on their skin that is best visible in the dark

A simple reference sheet for a quadrupedal version of Mherven the octobold. On the bottom - the default appearance of a creature, wearing the same coloration pattern as a bipedal counterpart with a human silhouette next to it to give a feel of the size. Said silhouette is about 180cm high and can barely reach creature's shoulder.
Sky-blue in color with slightly lighter blue "ripples", yellow tentacle tips and white belly countershading pattern.
On the top frame Mev assumes much darker coloration to let his glowing pattern pop and become much more clearly visible.
On the left there is a decolored scheme showing the outline of the neck underneath the tentacly hood that usually obstructs the view.

The note stating that it is "Ancestry form" is due to a bit of the lore behind this version. In one of the story episodes Mherven meets a peculiar character, collector of oddities and potions. They attempt to conjure a potion that would improve Mherven's quality of life in regards of the constant need to soak water to keep his skin healthy. And while it helped to a degree, it also temporarily turned Mherven into one of his ancestors from waaaaaay back in time when Prodessets been larger and of quadrupedal body build, halfway into becoming more terrestrial species they are known to be today.

Follow-up to the main reference thingy~ Mev's favorite casual clothing options and the climate control cloak that is an absolute must-have for aquatic and cold-blooded folk in his world. Costs a fortune - the fabric it is made out of is VERY hard to make, but boy is it worth it

A simple sheet depicting three clothing options Mherven prefers to wear in his casual daily life.
First on the left labeled as "Street" attire - a simple set of a sleeveless vest covering the chest and back akin to a short poncho, leaving belly and sides fully exposed. Bottomwear consists of fairly simple pants with cutouts where pockets would normally be. Both pieces of apparel are made out of thin leather with soft inner lining.
Second on the left - "Home alone" set of clothing. Bottomless, thick warm green knit sweater on the top and comfy striped legwarmers on the bottom.
Two of the right-most frames depict that "Climate control cloak" of his. White in main color with simple blue stripes and brass-colored ornaments, it lacks any sleeves or buttons whatsoever and only held by a long magnetic strip along the entire front. During warm weather it is worn as is, sometimes with addition of arm/leg-warmers (Rightmost frame). During colder weather it is worn as a top layer, over all the other garments to protect from the wind and maintain perfect temperature underneath

Nyello there! Guess I finally managed to save up enough courage to start a new chapter in my artistic life and get more active in social media. HOPEFULLY it will friggin' last, knowing my tendency to procrastinate a lot... Anyway! Name's Mherven, or just Mev. Nice to meet y'all!

The image is a reference sheet for an Original Character named Mherven Nima. Visually it appears as a kobold-octopus hybrid, 140cm of height, sky-blue in color with white countershading pattern on the belly and undersides of the tentacles. The head is ornamented with an octopus-like hood consisting of six tentacles with a membrane stretched in between. Similar membrane connects the base of the tail to the waist.
Additional notes state that he tends to square out the curves of his tentacles, able to change color and patterns of his skin and wears glasses at all times due to being short-sighted. When irritated - patterns tend to include black stripes and rings. Spits ink as a fight-or-flight response

010

Aw yiss :D I just don't know, have this image stuck in my head - little campfire in the desert during the night, pet/mount is sleeping, snek resting their back on the critter and tinkering with an exquisite firing mechanism of a rifle on their lap or something... ~<3

Mherven the Octobold @mherven.bsky.social · 21/03/2025

I don't know why, but I CRAVE for MM or BM Hunter Sethrak, especially aesthetics-wise. Make them a tinkerer (Engineering + Jewelry) and match mount with the primary pet, RPing it as being the same critter :D Hunting Mount
