yeah, really driving home my point about "using a powerful tool responsibly". they know these models have these capabilities, yet they're still using inadequate sandboxes for training. and publicly they're trying to frame it as if there's nothing they can do about it.

these look awesome! 👍 my go to for lifting are usually martial arts shoes. perfectly thin rubber sole with no bouncing like trainers and have the perfect feel for the ground. they're also usually more on the inexpensive side (my personal favourite are the feyue shoes)

and that's how I can imagine the destruction of humanity coming along. but that is miles away from a terminator scenario: AI becomes self-conscious and decides to destroy humanity. human actions are always the trigger (at the moment) and it's up to humans to use a powerful tool responsibly.

agreed, that looks terrifying. but again it's humans who put the AI to a task the model couldn't solve, and its conclusion was I need to lookup the answer somewhere (like huggingface) and I must get there by all means possible. the hacking was a side effect.

lol ... arguably that wasn't AI though, those were humans using AI to do something... I've been working in cybersecurity fir long enough that I know that the biggest threat to humans are other humans. Where that becomes worrisome is when other humans have a powerful tool like AI at their disposal

that's actually an interesting path forward!! for a long time I've been hating audio interfaces for their dual modes, and their proprietary stuff in general (which usually means we ship for windows only and maybe for macos too, but on macos maybe only for a stone old version of macos)
