He's from Clawson, which is this little circle of Suburban Atlanta that was magically transported to be a boring flat space between the glacial basin of Oakland County and the Clinton River watershed of Macomb. It is notoriously wary of invaders trying to get from I-75 to Woodward during closures.

I can't remember a year that Michigan was getting so consistently hosed on spots, particularly in the redzone or on plays near the line to gain. They need to get a video person to spot them and start challenging these. 1st & G from the 6 or 4 makes a big difference.

Here's a novel way to defeat zone read. M's reading the edge at the top who just grabs onto Gach and won't let him release. I wish I wasn't finding so much crap like this on rewatch. Michigan deserved to lose this game, but the whistle they're getting this year is just uncanny.

It's really hard when the team goes under center to make tackles in the backfield. DTs hopping upfield is a lot more effective against shotguns because the offense is in the backfield longer.
