This recent round of interviews/job search was interesting. One weird theme was why do so many firms/recruiters contact technical folks, like EHS, when what they are really looking for is marketers and sales people. I said no thanks to more than a few potential employers.

One of my favorite things on this earth is the mandocello. This one started life as mid 60s Vox Clubman bass and was converted by the mighty Tim Pelletier. I predict it gets a lot of activity going forward. An absolute blast to play with both Al Shelton and The Wheelknockers last Saturday.

It was beautiful to watch the monks pass through town on their walk for peace. It was great to see anything Buddhist get support like this. I dont have pictures because I was busy chanting the Bodhisattava Vows under my breath as they passed by. One monk to another - rock on.

I watched a few episodes of Nat Geo's excellent series on The Secret History of the Mongols last night. Very very well done. My only minor complaint is that at no time does Genghis Khan wildly exclaim "I feel this Tartar woman is for me! My blood screams Take Her!!!!".
