Pickleball is great, but just imagine we invent a sport that divides these courts even further 128 micro-pickleball courts

It doesn't list the cross-platform transfer maps inside of the new cars' maps! They said they were addressing this years ago, and it's still not in place

I'm not sure that any of the plans are great, but the DSA has many articulated strategies to either transform the Dem party or break and create a new third party I don't think I've seen any Green ever get to the point of articulating a strategy for even a single second

As I said, *manage* street parking through pricing, permits, etc A free-for-all is never going to work

They're clearly bemoaning "street parking used to be free and easy, and now it isn't", but ... you're not turning back the clock on that one *Managing* street parking through pricing, permits, etc, (and possibly just eliminating it altogether!) is the only way forward

You'd think the people concerned about too many cars clogging the roadways would *prefer* that it has no parking (abundant on-site parking -> cars discharging into streets)

Plenty of seniors, elderly, invalids, parishioners, preschoolers, shop owners, field/pool/tennis court users, and residents also think doing fentanyl is in their best interests

This is like removing fentanyl from people who are abusing fentanyl Yes, it's a change, but it's 100% good for all parties affected

Public policy is largely rigged against making public land ownership possible, is one thing Another is that public agencies aren’t proactive enough about wanting to acquire land early

Here's the thing: "left nimbyism" is actually a rightoid ideology
010
Hervey “Mark '@bufordsharkley' Mollineaux” Okkles 🦀🚰 @mgm.ink · 19/07/2026
Pro-zoning liberals never really had to *hone* their ideology, "left-nimbyism" is what came out of the super-pressurized online discourse mines (and it's really pretty bad) But I think what governed urban planning for decades was the *antecedent* of this

Understanding them as a zero-sum tradeoff is a mistake Low inflation is a *constraint*, but the key is nimble and novel policy that achieves full employment within this constraint (that is, Lerner/Colander MAP)

I also think that “number of movie theaters” closing is more extreme than number of screens, insofar as single/twin cinemas are disproportionately likely to be struggling

I think it goes hand-in-hand with their strenuous objections to any John Rawls framework No, we shouldn't think about fair systems that *we* would want to be subjected to; we're not going to be born into the world again, the past is past, we may take what has come to us and deny it to others

Great topography, great bones, city planners ruined the city to speedrun car culture and suburbanization They should finally open the subway, close the basin to cars, build the *real* union train station on the corpse of Fort Washington Way
