The original background of Black Lotus is quite complicated with a subtle appearance of leafy greenery but still abstract in nature. I've always thought it would be a challenging background to recreate, but I like the final product. Also, a scan of the original copy #mtg #art #painting #bsky.art

This was an enjoyable playset to paint. Blood Moon and Chaos Orb are melting above Ankh of Mishra and Su-chi are on fire. #mtg #art #painting #bsky.art

Language swapped a Shahrazad to Arabic. I broke out a new brush specifically for this one.

**This is not an April Fool's joke** This OS deck photo represents hundreds of hours of painting. Each is a real MtG card. Ignoring restrictions, which of these 15 cards would you move to the sb and which 15 cards (presumably lands) would you add to the main? #mtg #art #painting #bsky.art

Sometimes I paint cards to look like they were printed in another color. In other words, I hand paint the border and text box, working around every letter. Each of these color swaps are unique. UNL Chaos Orb in gold #mtg #mtgoldschool #mtgalters #magicthegathering #art #painting #mtgcube

I'm an avid rock climber and absolutely love an entire day adventure. Where are my fellow artsy climbers? It probably goes without saying, but I also play Magic the Gathering. QRP with your artwork and share what other passions/jobs/hobbies you have. My take on "Red Elemental Blast" 18"x24"

Icy Chaos Orb I've been wanting to paint a full art Chaos Orb for a while, so I was immediately on board when I was asked to do so. To add to the project, it's in a wintery theme. #mtg #mtgoldschool #mtgalters #mtgcommander #magicthegathering #magicart #wotc #painting #mtglegacy #vintagemagic

Changing the language of Arabian Nights cards to Arabic just fits. Shown are Flying Men, Flying Carpet, Desert Twister, and Sinbad. The scanner didn't cooperate with Desert Twister, but the text box cover up matches in person. #mtg #mtgoldschool #mtgalters #mtgcommander #magicthegathering #magicart
