Bicester Scramble isn't a classic car show, it's an eclectic car show. The very essence of #weirdskybs ... Take these 70s F1 cars to start with. Or are they? The real stars of "Rush" were present. The M23 was good and the Lotus was a clever pastiche - a transverse bike engine under Cosworth covers

Hear hear! The worst thing to hit Formula 1 has been the rise of the "Eff Wun Fan". We used to be motor sports "enthusiast", who cheered everyone when they did something good, and admired the technology and driving equally. We didn't cry "X only woke because of the car", we celebrated that car.

We had a 51 plate 1.6 some years back. Bought it reluctantly only as it matched budget and availability, but it won our hearts. Just did everything well and wasn't thirsty. Sold it when the clutch failed, it's still doing duty on the local skid pan to this day!

IIRC the "hub cap" versions were 14". I had a 2.0efi MG and it had the 15" cross spokes the same as my MG Montego Turbo. Have I got the measurements right? It was a long time ago. The MG Maestro was a really good car, I had a lot of fun with mine which I used as a hillclimber.
