Good news. Prince came to me in a dream and taught me a rhythm by banging on his council flat door. All I need to do is write that into a song, make a fortune, and I'll spend it on sorting out the world 🤞 I know that sounds like a joke setup, but that's genuinely what happened last night!

I've been gardening all day and I am bushed. Terrible pun intended - but it's accurate 😴 Also - these upcycled whiskey barrel planters smell delicious 🥃

That's the best thing I've seen in ages. I love @mikebatt.bsky.social 🤣

I'm not really sure when Mr Beanz's birthday is, so we'll have a little party later today. You're all invited. I've prepared a hamster piñata 🐹

Wahoo! It's #cassunday Bought this on the strength of its delicious shell from Amlen Records in Hay-on-Wye. They have a great stock of new releases if you're ever in the area! godspeedyoupeterandre.bandcamp.com/album/its-al...

That was a pricey bottle of Spanish red and utterly worth it 🍷

It's a beautiful morning and I have a coffee, a warm coat, "Douglas Adams: The Ends of the Earth" audiobook by Arvind Ethan David (which is currently free of BBC Sounds and is excellent) and a bench to sit on.

Today, I was thinking - THINKING - how lucky I was that my band got to support Mega City Four once. The algorithm has just shown me a MC4 group it thinks I might like. Again, I only THOUGHT about MC4 😨

We contributed a Max Blansjaar track to this excellent special edition #cassetteweek tape. Save Ferric is an amazing name for a cassette fanzine. Props to @mflah.bsky.social for keeping the dream alive. ✨

I don't post about politics often - but think of all the GOOD both donors could have done with their £36m 😖

I love INK - such a great place. The other night it filled me with jazz and beer. This afternoon, excellent coffee as I sit listening to Arvo Pärt on my headphones surrounded by street art. www.inkgallery.co.uk

Things I was frightened of as a child: * Emu * The toy police car with the deafening siren that randomly went off in the toy cupboard in the middle of the night * That skinhead who lived up the road * Carrie - I watched it WAY too young

Mushroom risotto and a banana split from the vegan menu, good friends and a superb glass of red wine - that was a very happy trip to my local Italian bistro 🍚🍌👫🍷
