What a year! What a pleasure to work with the Scientists' coalition! French-speaking scientists were present at INC4 and INC5. We will be there at INC5.2 and hope that an ambitious Plastics Treaty will be finalised in 2025.

AFNU (Association Française pour les Nations Unies) conference “Ending #plastic #pollution, a major challenge for #multilateralism”. Very interesting to talk about the consequences of plastic pollution on the #environment and about #INC3 outcomes with Science Po students

✅many countries are committed to reduce plastic production, simplify plastics and eliminate non-essential ones, eliminate polymers and chemicals of concern ❌several petrostates prevented negotiations from reaching a conclusion on the intersessional work 2/2

Great opportunity to present the Scientists' Coalition for an effective PlasticsTreaty and the response to the #ZeroDraft at the stakeholders meeting (NGOs, elected representatives, companies) organized prior to #INC3 by the 🇫🇷 Minister for Ecological Transition Christophe Béchu. #PlasticsTreaty
