i am so beyond thrilled to launch my new webcomic: PRAYERS TO THE FUTURE! it's a muslim-themed post-apocalyptic adventure about coming together to breathe life into a struggling world. the first update is now live at prayerstothefuture.com - the comic is free to read + updates every monday. ENJOY 🧿

an illustration for the launch of my (iasmin omar ata) new webcomic PRAYERS TO THE FUTURE. the main character, irfan, poses with an obsidian sword. the rest of the comics cast (a mystery for now!) is depicted in various shapes behind her. the title of the comic is written outside of a circle behind irfan, with "by iasmin omar ata" written on the underside of the circle. within the circle, a post-apocalyptic desert is shown, with a tall obisidan obelisk at the center and a giant crystal floating atop it.

My fave tactic. Not getting the joke and asking them explain. Got that from the Hell-Site ages ago.

A video collection of Hetalia Cosplay with my boys when they were little (Photos posted w/permission). The last time they cosplay #Hetalia with me was 2022, as a birthday present 💗 Loved this time, but I love even more seeing them express their own interests and fandoms now.

quick sketch based on a joke a friend said as we all tried to come to terms with the last episode of YSST because Oh. Oh man. Oh dear god. Still processing. But the joke was funny.

Thank you so so much for telling me! I am actually prepping for a con so I may make a few small stickers pr maybe even a print (usually YST doesn't move at all, but maybe the new show will change that. IDK).

Niche joke alert. I had to. Samurai Troopers meets Hetalia.

Musashi from Samurai Troopers being told by Prussia from Hetalia that Prussia likes the bird on his head (joke. There is no bird on his head, just odd design choice of a blonde floof that looks similar to Prussia's yellow bird)

Sketch of Seiji. I love that he loves car racing. I was too lazy to finish this. Maybe another day.

I am outside in a place with bad wifi so I couldn't post this until now. But Happy Late Birthday to duckling head here. Also, drawing the floof on his head reminded me of drawing Hetalia!Prussia with the bird on his head 😅 Maybe I will get a better dcan when I get home.... #samuraitroopers

They are willing to do anything but force companies to reinstate the "show only my feed in post time order" option and/or be accountable for what their algorithms. We had social media in ye olde days, forums, webrings, mailing lists etc. Social media is not the issue, corporate algorithms are.

A quick Hetalia Wales and England sketch. Before the official UK brothers were introduced, I had a design for Wales withdraw brown longish hair, and while I shortened and lighter ed it I find I still want to keep it brown and longish #hetalia #hetaliawales #hetaliaengland

I wanted to try drawing the Shin and Shuu as their older selves. One fun thing about this series is watching now, it's like when I was a young. The Troopers are about my age 😆 #samuriatroopers

Almost done with my art series!. Just have Shuten left :) Anubis was difficult. The lighting was a lot of trial and error. Naaza was just fun, but I had to hold myself back from adding too much!! #samuraitroopers #サムライトルーパー

I was going through old sketchbooks (because my students wanted to see my middle school art), and I found some of my Samurai Troopers from 96- 01 would have been about 15-20 #samuraitroopers #サムライトルーパー

I am so jealous. Everytime I try this, my plant dies. I just put a money tree in a new pot because it was root bound, but I am scared to try and detangle them because my success rate is 0.

You pretty much have zero control over what happens. Seriously. You do control your voice. Which is your vote. If you have been convinced that “your vote won’t count.” Congratulations. You gave them exactly what they wanted. Your control. Over to them.
