The church was built from 1931 to 1932 by Hermann Albert Mohr according to the principles of New Building or New Objectivity. The building serves as a church, retirement home, community center, kindergarten, monastery, and rectory. During a conversation with a resident of the Klausenerkietz, I learned about the sale of the building due to the order’s financial problems.

The commercial building was built by the architects Kayser and von Groszheim from 1903 to 1906. Since the end of the 18th century, the property housed the Mitscher & Caspary winery, founded in 1785 by Johann Nicolaus Caspary (1758-1839) and Johann Justus Mitscher (1755-1802). The building was located in the Marienviertel district and was presumably destroyed in World War II. Today, the site is occupied by the vacant lot in front of the television tower.
