If the preview in the Flower Pot Builder wasn’t showing up for you, it was due to a caching glitch. Sorry about that! It’s fixed now, and everything should work again after a quick page reload. Thanks for your patience!

It feels like the essentials for creating simple, functional flower pots are now in place. What’s left are a few small UI tweaks. If you notice anything that’s still missing or have an idea that could make the tool nicer to use, I’d love to hear from you.

Just finished a design for a large wall-mounted bin! I wanted something functional that also looks clean on a wall or shelf edge. It prints without supports, and doesn't warp, even when printed in PETG. Details and files are up on the project page: www.printables.com/model/1482023 #3dprinting

Today I finished moving the LuckyResistor website away from WordPress to a super fast static site! It’s not a huge project, but around 40k people visit each month to read the articles, which makes it absolutely worth the effort. I’ll keep it running as long as the funding allows. luckyresistor.me

I just uploaded new saucer alternatives for the quadratic flower pots! 🌱 The LR2508b saucers fit perfectly with the LR2507 and LR2508 series, but they come with a steeper 30º side angle, a bit more height, and extra room around the pot. Enjoy! www.printables.com/model/1145080 #3DPrinting #FlowerPot

When browsing the flood of new uploads on #Printables, I really wonder if it’s worth putting effort into free quality content. Without promo reach, new creator's great models get buried. “Trending” just highlights what’s already popular—feels like the app store issue. #Printables #Prusa3D

Function Playground’s main settings let you customize the object’s size and shape. You can set height, top and bottom diameter, and control how much the functions affect radius and angle. Since everything runs locally, tweaking the resolution can help performance. metikumi.com/tools/functi...

Just pushed a small update to the Function Playground! 🎉 The top and bottom caps now close properly, even in more extreme shapes. Yet, your function still needs to return a valid shape—no magic for overlapping lines. 😄 Also, a second example project to explore! metikumi.com/tools/functi...

Core of Function Playground is the function grid. Each cell can use results from the left or above. Row outputs can feed into radius (Δr) or angle (Δφ) variations. Click a cell to edit it, or drag a function from the library. You can also reroute outputs at the row ends. metikumi.com/tools/functi...

Using the shell command in CAD software might seem like an easy way to hollow out a model for 3D printing, but it often leads to inconsistent wall thickness and print artifacts. Why the shell command falls short and my recommendation: metikumi.com/blog/2025/03... #3DPrinting #ShellCommand #Blog
