right now the movement is a bit janky, since technically (like p much everything in the game), the sword is just another ship - so all the movement is made relative to the ship the drone is assigned to. gotta reconcile having the attack feel snappy + responsive while still "moving normally" lol

made a new drone in-between designing the more important systems~ you can now get a "Sword Drone Bay" which spawns the drone of its namesake, which will follow you around and attack on your command cause what's a space shooter without a melee attack lol #gamedev #indiedev #godot

album cover for the new florence has some tremendous aura

The cover for the band Florence + The Machine's newest upcoming album "Everybody Scream"

It features the eponymous Florence herself, sitting in the corner of wood-paneled room facing the camera on... maybe a bed or something, with her legs spread wide and some white cloth covering a mild portion of her lower half. Her right arm is draped upon the back of whatever it is she is sitting on. She is staring directly into the camera with her head slightly cocked to the side.

The shot is done with a fish-eye lens, that is to say the edges of the shot bow inwards, giving the impression that we are peering in on this view. The overall coloration has an earthy tone.

400 lil drone buds with semi-flocking behaviour (sans cohesion) basically running a bastardized form of ECS based on a c++ tut which godot updates sprite transforms etc. based on i'm well aware this is probably -very goofy-, but it was fun and it's like 95% adaptable so w/e lol
