I'm pretty certain it would be easier to take out my own appendix than it is to transfer RSP money between Canadian financial institutions.

"Recent data from Statistics Canada showed crime rates and severity dropped nationally, provincially and in Toronto in 2025." But sure, let's hire 1000 more cops, Brad. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

I think it's so cool that the Gang of Four's Hugo Burnham is going to become UK prime minister. John Otway or Julian Cope might have been more entertaining picks if they want to elect a musician, but let's see what he can do in the 180 days he has on the job.

Does anyone have credible evidence that the CBC's David Common ever sleeps?

Ambrose Bierce's "The Devil's Dictionary" doesn't have an entry for “four-way flashers”, but how about this: A feature on cars and trucks that, with the push of a button, enables a motorist to signal to police that the driver's vehicle is illegally parked and should be towed or ticketed immediately.

Sometimes the impossible does happen: Pierre Poilievre said something complimentary about a Liberal leader. The Eglinton LRT opened today. So maybe the Leafs can win the Stanley Cup again in my lifetime.

Anybody else find themselves humming the Velvets' "I'm Waiting for the Man" after they've called a contractor or repair person? Specifically the "He's never early, he's always late / First thing you learn is that you always gotta wait" part?

Yesterday, my father received his $200 from Doug Ford. My father died last March. Mistake, right? Nope. It's on the Ontario gov't website: We're sending cheques to dead people. How absurd. Imagine what we could do collectively with the $3-billion they're blowing on this shameless vote-buying scheme.

One of the small joys of borrowing a library book is finding something stuck inside—a weird grocery list, or a bookmark from another place, for example. In this case, I hope the parents or grandparents of this child have another copy of their picture. (I put it back in the book when I returned it.)
