It's my great pleasure to give a long overdue progress update on our fully human-translated and human-coded English patch for the legendary Tokimeki Memorial 2!

The BBC is now so transphobic they will quietly edit peoples' t-shirts to hide gestures of support for trans people

Opposing violence against trans women is unacceptable to the BBC, which, like every part of British media in 2026, believes being able to do violence against trans women is a human right.

Several weeks ago, Phil Tippett's legendary animation studio in Berkeley, CA closed. An anonymous hero noticed a folder of CDs. This turned out to be hundreds of unseen hi-res images and videos from Star Wars, Robocop, Jurassic Park, etc. ~90 isos for you to browse: archive.org/details/tipp...

A casual Star Wars alien fella at the cantina, in a sun faded, reddish photo. Someone will be mad at me for not knowing who this is.

Phil, a balding Caucasian man, poses a model of the garthok, an antagonist from the Coneheads movie.

Phil, a balding caucasian man, points at some CG on a CRT computer monitor, as a younger man looks on. The screen shows a model of a dinosaur attacking a jeep, while there's an actual physical model of that event in the foreground for reference.

an isolated shot of a star wars vehicle. Sorry, I don't know star wars lol

Coincidentally, in Japan, it’s the 28th which marks the 26th anniversary of Gunparade March’s release date. Happy birthday to one of the greatest games of all time: ogrerun.com/2025/11/29/g...

Gunparade March and the JRPG at the Turn of the New Millennium

Here, players can eternally live out their teenage post-apocalyptic fantasy. But, this dream can only last so long and Gunparade seems aware of that. Partake in its social system to learn the truth…

it to him, especially when you look into his actual history on these things!

I cannot stress enough that, even with how bad Labour has been since getting into power, there is no scenario in which Rees-Mogg of all people comes out of this looking "further left" than Labour. That just isn't true. Saying one correct thing does not under any circumstances mean you have to hand

120

Seven Rats in a Trenchcoat @messyrats.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I also think that if you're going to retweet things to do with posts like that, then you should, at the very least, be aware of his history in the tory party, and not just looking at "gotchas"

140

Seven Rats in a Trenchcoat @messyrats.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

He's not left of the current Labour party! That is factually untrue!

150

Seven Rats in a Trenchcoat @messyrats.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I think if you're going to make posts about Rees-Mogg that paint him as left of the current Labour party, I think you need to remember one key detail about him: the man was, is and always will be a complete snake of a person with no real convictions to speak of other than that The Poors should die

Normally I would absolutely be on board with this, but Decmber is when I have some friends and also my partner visiting. Absolutely up for trying to arrange a meet-up when I'm back in the UK, though! (Assuming my situation doesn't change)

I am here until at least November, as that's when my fixed contract becomes rolling, and a little extra spending money would be nice, but I also want to do the absurd thing of walking from one of Japan to the other

030

Seven Rats in a Trenchcoat @messyrats.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Might be difficult given the interview will be in Japanese and I'm not confident in my speaking ability. Will definitely try all the same, though

I've been having a number of thoughts about staying here, and I think long-term, it's not for me. There's a number of reasons for this, but ultimately, the biggest one is that I miss my friends back in the UK, and it doesn't feel right without them here

Seven Rats in a Trenchcoat @messyrats.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

I have an interview for a job I don't particularly want tomorrow - security guard - and there's a big part of me that just wants to skip the whole thing entirely

Not sure. They're the same guy as far as I can tell. I had a couple of thoughts about it. Could be that the other person was a better fit or maybe they were closer to the location and that's what clinched it. (I could definitely see them preferring to not want to reimburse the travel.) Could be any
