Exactly! 😭 Like, it's very hard to filter it and as much as this community is sex positive, I think our mentality about safety and privacy is far behind. I'm in some explicit sex centered communities where it's treated as the delicate subject it is. Way less triggering. This situation is not normal

Both domestic violence and violence against children are both themes I would prefer either not engage with or be warned beforehand with a TW. Sexual stuff too. Tbh, being online usually provides some buffer distance but on bad days... It hits harder.

Furry artists, a lot of them women, most of them LGTBQIA+, may be perfectly fine with adult themes. They may also be retraumatizing themselves through constant exposure. I was in that situation and I wonder: How many others?

Someday we should talk about the inescapable sexualization within the fandom to the point it's almost mandatory for artists to engage in order to make enough money to survive in this over competitive economy. Especially when said artists are demographics more vulnerable to sexual violence.

Like, I thought I knew what was wrong many times before, thought I found the way to "fix" myself several times but it was only the tip of the iceberg lmao

Found a very specialised therapist, been on EMDR for 9 months. It's been the roughest thing I've done in my life. My brain is so fragmented I'm not sure how I remained functional for so long. Still trying to work out good meds for me.

Don't take this as me traumadumping on main but rather a vague context. Not a fan of sharing my personal stuff online but I cannot be removed from my circumstances. I'm doing far better now, but not in the way a lot of people may think.

Quick psa apparently is a very bad idea to leave PTSD untreated for decades as you will eventually implode like a trauma supernova, lose like half your weight and end up disabled. At least I still got a wicked sense of humor.

Tried to log back in, see how everyone is doing. But I no longer use the same name, I've redesigned my sona, have no clue who is even left. I can't even see the nsfw stuff anymore, even the slightly suggesting stuff is triggering. I don't feel like the same person anymore. I don't think I am.

First year of my technical formation on sys/netadmin done. Got second place in grades (behind my bestie!) with a 9/10 on average 😎 My teacher is already looking for suitable internships next year. Really looking forward to cybersecurity next year!
