How's everyone doing? What are you working on? I'm circling around script-lock on my next indie, Bruised Fruit. Next step, table read where hopefully we'll be able to pin some irritating niggly bits down! #FilmSky

A fab recharge in our gorgeous Lake District. Now I'm ready for a bit of work, please 🙏 It feels to me like the film industry may be stirring after what seems a very long slumber. What do others think? Hope 2025 is kind and fruitful and fun for us all 😊💃🤎 #UKsky #actorsuk #actorsky #FilmSky #tvsky

Back when the other place was a (reasonably) friendly place I used to enjoy the regular #acting Career Q&A sessions (& a few kind acting folk have say they did too). If anyone has any #Theatresky type questions I can help with here, please do send them my way & I'll do my best. 🙏🏼

I have to battle against my 50s upbringing where children should be seen & not heard, and talking about your achievements is boasting, and JUST NOT ON but I'm utterly thrilled at the grand old age I am now, my lil' co-produced film from a monologue I wrote is now winning awards 🏆😊💃

I've just backed this. An incredible looking project on divided communites. HOURS to go on their all or nothing kickstarter campaign. They've spent 2 years on this. It'd be awful if they don't hit target. Can anyone else help?

I love this shot. The crew fully focused on their tasks, the actor on theirs. This focus and the trust we have for the other is when the magic happens 🤎 #bts #FilmSky📽

A young woman in a red dress stands on a film set facing the crew all focused on their individual tasks. She's bathed in a soft light. They are in darkness or silhouette.

Got my new Netflix fix #BlackDoves is everything everyone is saying it is. I am so f**king jealous I'm not in it. I'd happily stand in the corner with a mop just to be in the room with this much blistering talent

Can't think of a tougher year to be starting an acting career so if you are a new grad (or want to help one with their launch) I've reduced this popular video course from £7.99 to £4.99 from now till Christmas.🌲🌲 johnbyrneresources.gumroad.com/l/actorcaree...

Honestly, at my age, making me scroll through back through all the years to input my d.o.b on the pre-production cast 'n crew form is tantamount to abuse ☺️ #production #FilmSky #ActingSky

I'm only a wee bit in, but God, it's good, AND I hear it's being considered for a film. I'd definitely be up for playing a senior member of the thought police, love a dress up in a uniform 😉🎥 #BookSky #FilmSky #ActingSky

One ep in, and it's brilliant! What's also interesting is the discussion around finding age appropriate actresses for the Robyn Malcolm part (who was incredible) but so many others had so much 'stuff' done they cd no longer play someone who needed to have 'lived' www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio...

After the Party review – one of the greatest performances in any TV show in years

Robyn Malcolm is incredible in this morally complex drama, as a woman who believes she saw her ex-husband sexually assault a minor

So, #Scriptsky, what methods do you use for breaking a story? I've got a great villain, a cool idea, but it's still not quite coming together for me. How do you do it? #Screenwriting

Chuffed to have a bit-part in this. Check out the candy floss hair, the little handbag, and the neat Mrs T suit! I don't have Disney +, but it's nice hearing everyone saying the series is really good 👌

Online's where I put my first self-written monologue & the response reassured me I cd write. Online's where I connected w someone who said I'd love to make this into a film. Online's where I met the person who's going to direct my next. How did we DO it before! Close our eyes & wish 🤔😄 ##indiefilm
