If it’s a London ref, I assume it is, it’s probably the family in the parish of St Michael Crooked Lane. There was also a family with more than one Roger in Southwark, probably watermen. The epicentre of Hemingeses was Worcestershire - Feckenham, Worcester itself - and Warks, Haselor and Stratford.

Congratulations. I hope it brings you as much joy as my very late PhD did (73 at graduation). You will bring so much to it that you have gained over past decades. Have fun!

It’s all of those things and so provocative in performance. Saw it first with Ian Richardson as Angelo then years later watched my husband as Escalus (ETT) and Abhorson (RSC). Have never made up my mind about it.

Change the job title? Executive administrator or similar? But that would no doubt require an AGM decision.

Iago may have been lean but Jago definitely sounds fat to me. Does Jago also suggest a relationship to Jack Falstaff, too?

When I was sorting the photo credits for my recent blogpost TLA asked me to add TLA alongside Guildhall Library, where I actually photographed the items. Feels like a good old fashioned power grab by TLA.
