Update: I received the package, but I also was watching the driveway like a hawk, opened the door when they pulled up (so they couldn't just photograph the mailbox and leave), and met them in the driveway for the package (they like to dump it there instead of placing on porch).

I felt like I had negative reactions in 2023 with bright magenta hair, but this was shortly after the country reopened from lockdown. Even so, I went with blonde this year just to avoid the stigma. Husband and I go to a lot of smaller places off the typical main 3 cities though, so YMMV!
