Munchkins have been freed from Customs 🥲

But the reply I got is that If I cannot present the documents in 24h, they are returning the package. No reasoning whatsoever.

I think I am going to cry. This is the straw that breaks the camel's back. For the first time in 12 years, I am being requiered to present toys testing for my dolls. I have already proved that these are collectible figures for adults, not for children.

This event has certainly felt like a good closure to all these years. I have no idea what's to come next, but I am so grateful I got such beautiful memories. Now I have to finish what's left ☺️

I'm specially thankful to Katherine (and Thomas 🐱), who hosted me in her (their) home 💖 She made an outstanding job at the event, spoiled me so bad, and is probably one of the kindest souls on earth.

MerryDollRound @merrydollround.bsky.social · 06/04/2025

The event was wonderful, very well organized and planned, full of wonderful volunteers, and I couldn't be more happy to meet a lot of lovely customers in person after such a long time. Also It was a delight to spend time and dinners with other artists 🫶🏻

I have been a bit MIA lately. I wanted to say something special about NYC Doll Con, but I had to deal with personal stuff when I came back and now I feel the momentum has passed 😩

MerryDollRound @merrydollround.bsky.social · 06/04/2025

Packed and shipped blank Berry dolls, almost finished with the custom make-ups👍🏻 Good news, Munchkin dolls have been shipped from factory. Bad news: The package has been retained for further inspection, and the release date from Customs is unknown 🫠

I've also prepared these cute little Pygmy fullsets 💖 Dresses are courtesy of Daria's The Hounted Dollhouse (@dariasthd on Insta), bonnets, make-up and wigs by me 🎀 #bjd

So relieved I will be finishing something that has been taking too space of my mind between tomorrow and Monday, probably even shipping painted Cookie Fangs, so I can finally start finishing (and showing) what I'll be bringing to NYC Doll Con! I am so excited but also super nervous 🫣🫣🫣

MerryDollRound @merrydollround.bsky.social · 04/02/2025

I'm sure it will be and I am so super excited and grateful I was invited!! There will be a lot of amazing artists and people that I can't wait to meet 💖

MerryDollRound @merrydollround.bsky.social · 04/02/2025

Sorry I am inactive lately 🙏 I am finishing painting Fang dolls, starting to pack Berrys and also preparing things for NYC Doll Con, and finishing some other stuff. Everything it's a bit stressful and when anxiety hits, I become useless and everything starts to pile up, so I become more stressed 🫠

Finished Tsubaki's drawing for the certificates, and I've put all the drawings together 💖 I am thinking on making something, maybe a sticker pack? Or acrylic charms? I don't know If you'd be interested, please let me know!

Thank you dear 💖 Growing up I was obsessed with this movie (way more than Nightmare Before Christmas), hopefully I can do something that feels more like a tribute than a copy 🤣

MerryDollRound @merrydollround.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

Here you can see the scale, like 50cm ish, but doesn't feel like it because of the elongated limbs. I don't know, but in person it felt like a very nice size to sew. I am quitting doll making as I've been doing at this point, but I think I will try something like this as a personal project.

MerryDollRound @merrydollround.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

There might be a plan now here 🤔 I recently visited the Tim Burton exhibition in London, and I could see the original puppets from the Corpse Bride. And can't stop thinking about Emily's impossible body shape but also the size of the puppets???

How unstoppable I would be If I could be as productive as today. Some days my brain feels foggy and can't do anything, the next day I can a do week worth of stuff.

Yes! I liked the cute pattern and the vibe... I ended up buying the classic long black bags, and will add some cushions and try to add a cute detail like a charm 🫣 I couldn't find any workshop that would do a small batch of bags 🥲
