I'm sure there will be work to be done on the ground, but as of right now, that's the main way to support the community. The article about the fire is listed below: www.fox9.com/news/minneap...

Minneapolis fire damages tribal offices, threatens Dakota language archive

Two Chippewa tribal bands are assessing damage after a massive three-alarm fire tore through a neighboring building and spread to their Minneapolis offices, forcing both to close until further notice.

But they will be shuttered for the foreseeable future. There are contacts on the ground collecting funds to buy supplies to create care packages, but there is no formal GFM yet for the tribe. If you'd like to support the community in Minneapolis, donations are being accepted via Venmo @ AriEver.

Folks who want to support Indigenous people, I have a call. Last night, a fire destroyed a business and spread to the local Chippewa Tribal Office here in Minneapolis. This office supplies the elderly, disabled, homeless, and low income community with supplies, food, and care packages.

These last few days have been DAYS. And this next week or two are going to get a lot more interesting for my personal life before they smooth out. So I will hug my kitties, give them treats, and enjoy the small moments.

I'm trying to find musicians or music lovers. I'm a Christian songwriter that low-key hates CCM because it's all written to be surface level stuff. Give me the authentic musicians that write about struggles.

There's a lot going on in the world right now, so I figured I'd make an introduction. So, hi. My name is Merrill and I'm a songwriter. I got my first guitar when I was 14, but I didn't start writing songs until 2021 and realized I had a LOT of trauma to process. So here's a sad song about my mom.

I've never heard of Alan Doyle, but I'm really digging the soundscapes he's making. It's familiar, but fresh.
