Ballarat Council is set to ruin the beautiful, State Heritage Listed Buninyong Botanic Gardens by permanently removing 100 or so trees from the embankment between the formal Gardens & the lake. Help us persuade Council to pause & rethink. www.change.org/p/stop-balla...

All these to go, permanently. Only rocks to replace the willows along the lake, so it’s not a case of replanting with something more suitable. Currently a haven for birds & fish.

Buninyong Botanic Gardens is set to lose 80+ trees from the embankment between the lower, formal gardens & the wilder side - The Gong. Council think this shallow lake could somehow burst its banks & flood the town. So it wants rocks only on the lake side & low shrubs on the other. Madness.
