Christian Williams @merelyafan.bsky.social · 07/05/2026Star Fox 64 somehow having a remaster (the 3DS game), a remake (this Switch 2 release) and a reimagining (Star Fox Zero) has to be some kind of record, & that's without getting into the N64 game being a reinterpretation of a previous title. 021

Christian Williams @merelyafan.bsky.social · 25/03/2026Broader media also didn't effectively get to stronger coverage of gaming until the 6th gen where the mainstreaming of the hobby via the PS2 & novelty of Xbox changed everything. Christian Williams @merelyafan.bsky.social · 11/12/2025Beyond a major paradigm shift in gaming (as you noted in the 6th gen video) I wonder if the aesthetics played a small part in reviewer/casual dismissal of SA1/2 happening so quick. They were so tied to a specific cultural pinpoint that immediately felt incompatible with what everything became after. 020
Christian Williams @merelyafan.bsky.social · 18/11/2024DKC's 30th Anniversary is as good topic as any to mark my first non-reply post here, I mean the title that marked DK's renaissance, allowed Nintendo to strike back in the console wars, & still holds up gameplay wise? What else is there to add except the words of George Wood: youtu.be/TbhRVZRQZNA?...youtu.beGITCY: Gaming in the Clinton Years #98: DONKEY KONG COUNTRYYouTube video by NAVGTR 020
