A pair of twentysomethings and a young guy separately asked us what that man was upset about and when we told them, they were incredulous. The guy gestured to the sign at the top of the dunes warning beach goers about sharks, shook his head and said, "Don't worry about it."

The Sharktivity app run by the Atlantic White Shark Comservancy has detected a shark at that beach the day before. So when we saw the teens literally in the path of where the seals had been swimming back and forth, it seemed like the right thing to do was to just tell them about the seals' presence.
