Nine days post-op from my endometriosis excision surgery and updating my author site with preorder links for YOU MADE ME because the cover reveal is next week... can't wait for the three hour nap that will follow this endeavor.

Drafting my acknowledgments for YOU MADE ME but it's kind of reading like an apology letter.

YOU MADE ME is up on Edelweiss! From a blank Word doc titled "mommy blogger cannibal" to the real thing ☺️

meredith adamo 💫 @meredithadamo.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

The fact that I have to sit on the YOU MADE ME cover for the next few months is so cruel to me and me personally.

000

meredith adamo 💫 @meredithadamo.bsky.social · 18/05/2026

ALSO I HAVE A SECOND BOOK! It's called YOU MADE ME and it comes out a year from today: May 18, 2027. It's THE REAPPEARANCE OF RACHEL PRICE meets YELLOWJACKETS and it kicked my ass but she turned out kind of fierce.

NLOG is getting a makeover for her PB, please tell her how pretty she is.

Most horrifying note of copy edits so far is that Sweet Tarts is apparently spelled SweeTARTS... horrible.

I want to talk about Book 2 so bad SO BAD!!! So! Bad!!!

000

meredith adamo 💫 @meredithadamo.bsky.social · 05/05/2026

I feel like the fact that my Book 2 took me two years to write means that my next manuscript will take two months. Maybe I'm actually just manifesting that so universe if you're listening PLEASE LET ME WRITE THIS BOOK IN LIKE TWO MONTHS

meredith adamo 💫 @meredithadamo.bsky.social · 20/04/2026

Finishing up last-minute Book 2 edits before it goes off to copy edits this week AND I'm sitting on the fiercest repackage for the NOT LIKE OTHER GIRLS paperback... we are so back.

Last month, eight books were removed from Georgia's statewide reading book for students. It was teenagers who brought this censorship to the spotlight–even though it's not their job to clean up grown-up messes. Get to know 3 of those teens here. bookriot.com/teens-who-ov...

"Who submitted the complaints and what authority do they have to have their opinion on the books available to teens across the state for an optional Reading Bowl? Why would the steering committee capitulate to those requests? Why were those books a problem at all?"

This week—Banned Books Week—I learned that NOT LIKE OTHER GIRLS was one of eight YA titles (and Georgia Peach Book Award nominees) quietly removed from the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl in Georgia. I shared my thoughts on censorship over on IG, but I wanted to share them here, too.

Truly impeccable timing to learn that NOT LIKE OTHER GIRLS has been banned (yet again) on the first day of Banned Books Week.
