the secret to good chowder is a baffling, and somewhat infuriating amount of roux cajun-ish chowder with andouille, crab, shrimp, corn, and trinity

Cajun chowder with andouille sausage, shrimp, corn, and trinity, garnished with more corn, green onions, and a dash of paprika. The chowder is a distinct golden brown color.

On the side is a can of Blue Moon Belgian brew, non-alcoholic because I don't like alcohol.

typical weekend meal but on a wednesday: baked chicken wings, miso zucchini, and caprese salad look, my partner wanted the weird menu tonight, not me

• Cold soba noodles, topped with furikake and paired with a lemony mentsuyu dipping sauce
• Menchi katsu, with katsu sauce drizzled on top
• Side salad with spring greens, cherry tomato medley, shredded carrots, and homemade (!) ranch dressing
• Sauteed shrimp, butter finished

Japanese-inspired vegetarian eggs benedict: Oyster mushrooms with togarashi, poached eggs with sancho pepper, and a hollandaise sauce with yuzu juice. Wasabi microgreens garnish. The peppers give this a nice citrusy kick along with the yuzu in the sauce to cut through the heavy presence of butter.
