"Do you know that coin popping down my throat was so comforting that I found another and do you know I went to bed dreaming of how those two dimes might call to each other in the squish of my insides" Chuffed my breathless story is in @meowmeowpowpow.bsky.social www.meowmeowpowpowlit.com/pup

Hi, cats and kittens of planet blue sky; as we finish publishing our accepted “cat’s out of the bag” broadsides, we will simultaneously run a special mini-theme throughout November for the Pup Pup blog. Please send us your gold dust-glittered best for a chance to be the main-event feature.

"Baseball Images That Precede Unfortunate Events" by Nate Logan, from our ongoing theme Cat's Out of The Bag www.meowmeowpowpowlit.com/recent/baseb...

Image of a baseball field with the poem "Baseball Images That Precede Unfortunate Events" by Nate Logan that reads:

It takes a lot to laugh, it takes a record playing backward to cry.

Which way, Western man?

The most average city and its university famous for architecture majors.

An “adrenaline-fueled action adventure” was not how I would describe it.

I knew more about saints than I cared to.

Baseball images that precede unfortunate events.

One canvas of black paint for me and one tolling doorbell for you.

"What do you say with a mouth full of ash?" Brand new broadside featuring the poem House of Flies by Jodi Balas, from our current Cat's Out of the Bag theme. Check it out: www.meowmeowpowpowlit.com/recent/ho…

House of Flies by Jodi Balas

It was Good Friday when you came in. thick coat of oil - sin slicked hair pushed back into the memory foam. It was raining on the night I told you how her mouth was a vacuum. Swirling above my head is a cave of teeth - a blown matchstick. A body is only a body you say so cavalier, spitting shards of bone in a bucket. What do you say with a mouth full of ash? How do you tell your mother she was right? Sheets fold under the ore of April under your eyes, I'm horizontal. No light still no light I meant to say I started covering my mirrors at night. The Irish still housing cadavers below their floorboards - where behind every man is a shadow of a man. I ripped off the band aid more than once for you a scar resembling a murder of crows - the necropolis of birds. A body is only a body close your eyes for long enough and you'll start to see how easy 1 could swallow you, just ask the fly in the merlot, the bag of feathers I carry on my back.
