hubby tells me today he’s hid the halloween candy we bought in the hallway closet me: “oh, so it’ll be easy to get for when the kids come by?” him: “no” me: “… is it to keep it out of the way so you don’t get tempted to eat it all” him: “……….. maybe”

i don’t want to speculate on their life or their decisions, i genuinely hope they and their family are doing ok. but i am begging people who do commissions for a living to do just update your clients if you’re delayed. please, i want to stop feeling like i’m shouting into a void.

011 1

LUMINA✦VIOLET 🐱💖 @meowgicalgirl.live · 15/09/2026

i saw other folks leaving raving reviews about their sweaters and how communicative the seller was and felt like i was going insane. why wouldn’t they just respond or update my ship-by date like they promised so i’d still be covered for buyer protection even if they were delayed?

110 1

LUMINA✦VIOLET 🐱💖 @meowgicalgirl.live · 15/09/2026

i hate leaving bad reviews. ik how artists’ + craftsmen’s livelihoods are dependent on them. most times even if my experience wasn’t good i’ll still leave a good review and move on. but this was by far i think the WORST commission experience i’ve ever had.

I ordered in April and the seller was initially communicative, but after June dropped off entirely. I was told this was due to a large influx of orders, but months went by + I reached out several times for follow-up with no response.

In August I was told there were 11 orders ahead of me which was strange since in June I was told my sweater was 1/3 done.

This month they updated ONLY THE LISTING to announce a family emergency so they'd cancel all pending orders. I only knew this because I went on the item page; they never reached out to me directly and I saw no news of a refund.

Because they never updated my ship-by date l would've been without my money and no sweater if Etsy support hadn't stepped in. Handicrafts take time but stringing me along like this for months with 0 communication felt insulting and scammy.

110 1

LUMINA✦VIOLET 🐱💖 @meowgicalgirl.live · 13/09/2026

GOOD NEWS ETSY GAVE ME A REFUND can you imagine how uncommunicative this person had to be for even the customer service rep to say "this is far beyond unacceptable, its borderline insulting for them to have kept you waiting for this long without communication"??

Ruby Bridges was 6-years-old when she stepped into the history books. Bravely accompanied by her mother, she was the first Black child to desegregate an all-white school in the South. It was not long ago… Today is her birthday. She is still with us. She is 72. Happy birthday, Ruby Bridges 💜

Twitch's "Allow your channel content to train generative AI models" setting is here and on by default. Go turn that shit off, streamer!! The toggle is under your Settings, then 'Security and Privacy'
