I am not gonna ever make a "Best games of 2026" list because 99% of the games I played this year was old stuff. The only actually new game I played this year was Pragmata, which was an incredible game. I think it deserves all the accolades it gets. However, Streets of Rage 2 on an arcade stick slaps

As somebody that LOVES high framerates in action games and the like, I get motion sickness when playing Sonic Origins. 60fps does not suit those old 16 Bit games, IMO, that collection, while cool, hurts my eyes lol. #SonictheHedgehog #SonicOrigins #NintendoSwitch #SEGA

I got Mortal Kombat Gold for my Dreamcast today, and played it for about 30 minutes, and love it! 🥹 I found the origina trilogy too quick for my slow ass fingers, this slower entry means somebody like me can get into it. I totally get why MK veterans dislike it, but me, HELL YEAH! #MortalKombat4 🌀

I heard the KPop Demon Hunters song "Golden" on the radio today and was extremely disappointed that it wasn't in Korean. Literally unlistenable.

The mood struck me, time to boot up my Dreamcast for some Sonic Adventure 2! This game took a few playthroughs to finally "click" with me. The Live and Learn feels #SonicAdventure2 #SonictheHedgehog #SegaDreamcast #Retro

Mario Vs. Donkey Kong on the GBA is a great game play sparingly. Do a couple stages then turn the system off, it's fun.

I haven't played a lot of RPGs, but this is my favourite that I've played. Behind the jank animation and geometry pop-in is a game with an interesting story about mental health and dealing with grief with some friendship themes as well. The music is amazing. #CRYSTAR #JRPG #HiddenGem

One of my English pet peeves is when people say "all y'all". Y'all means 'you all'. So saying "all you all" is reduntant.

I owe much thanks to that kid I used to be friends with when I was in high school who got me into Metroid. You're a legend 👌

I've decided my next manga read! Deadman Wonderland! I need a manga where I don't need to think. The anime...while good, had a shit "ending". I think it'll be worth doing the story proper now. Rest assured, I will return to One Piece, I just need a break. #DeadmanWonderland #Manga

I just finished the Spica the First Star light novel! It was great! I don't care what those MyAnimeList saps say, I enjoyed it! It does a decent job filling in some gaps that was left in the manga. Sadly it's not self-contained, you have to read the manga first lol, otherwise, spoilers. #OshiNoKo

I have a confession, most of what I read this year was manga, and most manga I read this year was One Piece. Not a bad use of time. As much as I have enjoyed reading One Piece, I need a break soon, to read a different manga series in my collection. I think Death Note should be next.

Next game done ✅ (Ren & Stimpy: Stimpy's Invention) it's a fun but frustrating game, the controls were kinda bad, I like this game enough, it's okay. Now onto an actual good game. Mega Bomberman 💣. One day I would like to rock some multiplayer. #segagenesis #renandstimpy #bomberman #16bit #90s

Whelp, that was a lot of fun, didn't finish the campaign, I only played on Easy, I am happy to move on to the next game. It's annoying that you have to play on Hard to race all 6 planets, but that's okay. 3 planets is more than enough. #RocknRoll #SegaGenesis #16Bit

Terranigma isn't a "lost SNES game from the 1990s". It's just a game that didn't get released in the US. IT was released in Japan, Europe, and Australia. No US release doesn't make it "lost" at all. The US isn't the centre of the world. US gamers need to accept this.

It's easy to get depressed when life gets rough, and overwhelmed when mental health gets out of hand, but remember that Vietnamese coffee exists.
