All Denny Hoskins and the Republicans had to do if they wanted their 7-1 map here in Missouri was to certify the citizen petition and win a subsequent election. That's all, then there wouldn't have been any issues with primaries and such, just let the people vote. /1

Note to the disappointed - Civil Contempt, which is what we were looking at here, is not generally jailable, and is used to force compliance with Court orders. The threat of Contempt has forced Hoskins and Hanaway back to the law and guards against them straying again. So there's that.
