Luka was so happy to claim the box from the new WiFi thingy. 😆 #CatsofBlueSky #Caturday

Luka, a petite brown tabby girl with a white chin and whiskers, is shown close up laying inside of a white Frontier box with red stripes. One sweet paw rests on the box edge next to her chin. Her eyes are wide and shimmery, ears tall. She is a happy girl in a new box!

Happy (late) Caturday! 🐈 Here is Niko next to a Spirit Halloween kitty that I had to have! #CatsofBlueSky #Caturday

Niko, a handsome orange tabby boy with a white chin and whiskers, sits with front paws firmly planted on patterned green carpet next to a black Halloween cat doll with wide purple eyes and ear tips. He looks at the camera with his head slightly tilted downward. He wasnt afraid of the doll at all, unlike his sister Luka who snagged it with her claw and tossed it! In the background is a light brown sofa with green plaid pillows haphazardly placed.

Sleepy Saturday morning Niko. Happy to share that he has recovered completely from the infection he had been fighting and he did not need to start a special diet. We are so thankful the little man is feeling better! ❤️ 🐈 #CatsofBlueSky #Caturday

Niko, a handsome orange tabby boy with a white chin and whiskers, lays on his side on a pastel blanket in the early morning hours of Saturday. His body is curved so his big back paws are laying near his front paws. His tail is tucked lazily under his leg. Some pink toe beans visible! His face holds a faraway expression. His white whiskers stand out against his orange coat. This is relaxation.

This week we celebrated Luka and Niko's 6th birthday! I tried to take a birthday picture but could not get them to look at the camera. 😆🐈 #CatsofBlueSky #Caturday

Luka, a petite brown tabby girl with a white chin and whiskers, sits on a patterned light green carpet. She is looking down at the floor instead of at mom taking the pic. Next to Luka is Niko, her handsome orange tabby brother. His head is turned to look toward his tail instead of looking at mom taking the pic. His white whiskers really stand out. All mom wanted was a pic of the kttty siblings on their 6th birthday! Between them a wand toy lays on the floor.

This is Luka. She looks sweet, but when her brother Niko was sick a few weeks ago we saw her devious side. She kept sneaking in to steal his food and treats! Now that Niko is feeling better she does not try that any more. 🐈 #CatsofBlueSky #Caturday

Luka, a petite brown tabby girl with a white chin and whiskers, is laying on her side on a patterned light green carpet. He head is lifted slightly and she looks directly into the camera. Her gold eyes are wide, ears tall and her pink nose and full whiskers are striking. She is holding one front paw up near her mouth while the other front paw braces her body. Near her head is a lime green catnip fish and near her tail is a light greenish blue squiggly cat toy. One might imagine her saying "who, me?" as I told the story of how ruthless she was at stealing her brother's food when he was sick!

Our sweet orange son Niko has had an infection he cannot shake. Three veterinarian visits this week. Friday, our vet decided the "time for conservative treatment has passed". Now on a course of 5 medications and special food that will help him to feel better soon. ❤️ 🐈 #CatsofBlueSky #Caturday

Niko, the sweetest, most handsome five (almost six!) year old orange tabby boy in the history of cats, is caught in a silly pose where it looks like all of his legs are assembled to his cat body wrong. But really it's just how he was sitting. His head is tilted slightly down so we are looking at his ears from the top of his head. Gold eyes are wide and his whiskers full. Three legs are visible with a back leg in the center making everything look silly. Next to him is a lime green catnip fish. Niko has more medications than a nursing home resident at the moment, which we hope will help him beat the infection he has been fighting. Keep your paws crossed that my sweet boy feels better soon!

Luka being held like a baby, her favorite place to be. 🥰 🐈 #CatsofBlueSky #Caturday

Luka, a petite brown tabby girl with a white chin and whiskers, is shown being held like a baby in Papa's arms. She is on her back, one front leg extended in the air, the other out of frame. Her sweet face is turned to the camera and is the picture of feline contentment, with her ears tall but relaxed and her eyes alert, white chin adorable. Hands support her back and head. Behind her is the bright light of the midday kitchen. She is a loved and happy kitty.

🎶 Cat hair......on my pillow.....makes me happy....🎶 #CatsOfBlueSky #Caturday

Luka, a petite brown tabby girl with a white chin and whiskers, lounges on top of a navy blue bed pillow. She is on her side completely relaxed, one paw stretched toward the camera. Her eyes are wide yet she still looks sleepy, a sly smile on her lips. She is leaving cat hair right on her favorite human's pillow and she doesn't feel bad about that at all.

Monday, I found a dog on my porch. Poor pup was exhausted. Luka, in a stunning act of bravery, came to gaze at her. Shocking because our cats are afraid of everyone.True scaredy cats! (Pup is home; her name is Lola and she had slipped out of her collar the night before) ❤️ #CatsOfBlueSky #Caturday

Luka, a petite brown tabby girl with a white chin and whiskers, sits upright and is seen from the side. She is gazing at a sweet white pointer dog with brown ears and a pink nose who is laying, exhausted, on our brown sofa. Luka is afraid of anyone she does not know; she hides whenever we have houseguests. But she found her bravery to greet a dog stranger in her space. We've been thinking about adding a dog to our family again; this was the sign from the universe that we needed!

My fan club watching me intently last evening. (They get some wet food before I go to bed!) 🐈 Happy 4th! #CatsOfBlueSky #Caturday

Niko, a handsome orange tabby boy with a white chin and whiskers, lays inside of a box draped with a cream colored blanket. His gold eyes are wide and his ears tall. In front on the same blanket is Luka, a petite brown tabby girl with a white chin and whiskers. She is in kitty loaf position with her little paws tucked under her body. She is looking up at the camera with the same alert expression as Niko. A while back, we got in the habit of giving the kitties their daily dollop of wet cat food (their favorite, Blue Buffalo duck pate) before I go to bed. Now I have a fan club watching me intently for about two hours every evening!

Niko, a handsome orange tabby boy with a white chin and whiskers, stands on the kitchen table next to an open laptop, looking at the user who is out of frame. The striping on his face and leg stands out, as do his adorable cream colored front paws. His whiskers are full and his gold eyes are wide. To his side in front of the laptop is Luka, a petite brown tabby girl with a white chin and whiskers. Only her head is in frame and she is turned away from the camera so we just see her ears and her whiskers cascading downward. They both want to help hubby with reading sports news.

Luka, a petite brown tabby girl with a white chin and whiskers, is photographed hiding behind a computer monitor on the counter of her veterinarian's exam room. Guard Cats in Action: Luka and Niko heard someone enter the house. On high alert, they wait for the human to appear; identity will determine if they go back to sleep or run and hide! (It was their human Papa, so they were able to resume napping.) 🐈 #CatsOfBlueSky #Caturday

Luka, a petite brown tabby girl with a white chin and whiskers, sits at attention, head turned to the left. Beside her sitting taller and looking in the same direction is her handsome orange tabby brother Niko. Both kitties are on high alert with wide eyes and tall ears, looking to see if friend or foe just entered the house. In the background is the family room, with a blue cat tunnel on the floor in front of the TV armoire. The TV screen has Steve Harvey of Family Feud wearing a lime green suit and standing in the middle of contestants as the show is just ending. To the right of the TV is a large picture window during bright daylight.

Today I share a new favorite. Niko lounging on top of hubby, who snapped pic. Texted to me "are you sure Niko's not fat?" 🤣 My response? Maybe a little chonky; bad camera angle! (Bonus: Luka on the dresser, looking irritated that Niko has her favorite human!) 🐈 #CatsOfBlueSky #Caturday

Niko, a handsome orange tabby boy, laying down on a bed with a dark plaid blanket. Pic is taken from behind Niko, and it's an unflattering angle so his body looks very wide and orange, and his head, from behind, looks disproportionately small, turned slightly, ears tall. Along the wall, left to right: a bookcase with assorted disorganized knick knacks on top including Kermit the Frog, a brown tall dresser with an irritated brown tabby girl Luka laying and looking at the camera, and a open doorway. There is a framed portrait of Luka on the wall above the dresser (and Luka herself) which adds to the charm of this moment in time!

Sharing a scratching post, moments before the brawl. 🐈 CatsOfBlueSky Caturday

Luka, a petite brown tabby girl with a white chin and whiskers, and Niko, a handsome orange tabby boy with a white chin and whiskers, both stand against a tall scratching post. Niko's chin rests on Luka's extended paw, and Luka's nose is pressed in to the side of Niko's face. Niko, a handsome orange tabby boy with a white chin and whiskers, lays on his side on a navy blue bedsheet. One paw stretches toward the camera, his other paw is held up and slightly bent.
