Nailed it btw. Great bird this year. Dry brined, spatchcocked, and maple glazed. But yeah. The crispy skin doesn’t ever make it out of the rest.

Had a great time at #GDEX. Learned about how build systems to better analyze playtest feedback. Also I bought every sexy sticker in artist alley. Shoutout to @yungkhan.bsky.social @torkirby.com And @superjumbo.bsky.social For bringing the heat!

I’ve been quiet lately. Everything is awful. But I’m still working on the game. Lots of HUD work. Core number system mechanics progressing.

Worked on HUD feedback when passing or failing arousal checks in Dialog that create branching paths. Still lots todo, but everything is starting to work as expected. It gets complicated quickly!

Gamedev is a constant onslaught of “you should just give up.” And I haven’t. I will keep working on this project every hour I can, until it’s finished or until steam removes all nsfw games. I haven’t asked for financial support in any other way. I just want to be able to sell my videogame.

I usually don’t share clips with placeholder content but since it’s a hot topic right now, see if you can spot the placeholder asset in this footage. 🤔

Boiler plate fantasy is a bit played out imo. I’m a big Conan fan. These books are in front of me right now actually! Bronze age, sandals, baths, wine, and scantily clad heroes call to me! Antiquity- which emphasizes Arabia, Mediterranean and African Civilization over Europe was more interesting.

Have you wishlisted Amara’s game? It would reduce my resting heart rate if that number went up. Just search Stone Oasis on Steam. store.steampowered.com/app/3469840/...

I love these books! Got some in a random lot and hunted the rest. One story has a pink monkey guy that has two mouths, so all his speech balloons have two leads coming off them. Which I found incredible charming.

Lastly, as you progress, or complete major chapters. You’ll be rewarded with scenes where Amara rescues a petrified hero with a steamy scene. So ultimately, the sex is when you’re doing well.

Gameplay sex, the action oriented erotica we’re most excited about, is limited to Miniboss encounters throughout the game so they can be as unique and exciting as possible. We’re working to create a fun back and forth, where you’re fighting to stay on top and make the opponent climax first. (WIP)

It’s more about defeating enemies. Regular mobs don’t really lead to erotic content, not on the map anyway. There’s unique Game Over scenes for each area, sure. But that’s not the main ero content.

It might be recency bias, but it took a lot of iterations to get to a Jester type character I was happy with. I like how she turned out a lot. She looks good naked too.
