Second pass (technically like the 3rd or 4th). Luis looked great but Lil needed work. I’m not a pixel guy so I was doing outlines like normal and then doing layer clips to color the lines to match their palette or turn them gray. Thinning or thickening certain parts until it looked right.

Cut a tiny piece off an old plastic bread clip and put some electrical tape to hold it down. Good as new. So stupid.

The dumbest fix for a $130 stylus. I cut a small bump to place inside the top of the stylus and then another cut to match the shape of the button itself. Electrical tape placed around the bottom half of each button seems to keep them from breaking off. The blue tape was from a prior fix, I did not lose the original button at that time.

Entire month was practically a blackout for me I don’t think I did any drawing at all. Spent all of today writhing in bed and did this like 10 minutes ago and in saving it I saw my last canvas was saved 5/27. I feel sick.

Really dig this one. Haven’t had any more time to explore further. I turned off my stabilizer and after awhile it sorta clicked. Then I got tired and kinda lost that energy lol

Sketch of Lily chewing gum and looking very bored. She’s supposed to be holding a homemade (very shitty) EMF reader but I got sleepy. In this one I just quickly shaded in a tanktop to work over as I decide on a new outfit that suits her.

I’ve been enjoying doing spiky shapes and chunky angles for lack of a better descriptor. You definitely see it in her hair. She’s a younger millennial so in 2026 she’s 30/31 years old, so I wanted to give her a bit of sun damage on her shoulders and elsewhere. Freckles look cooler that way I think, plus it fits her fashion anyway. Opting for sleeveless shirts to show off her guns.

Same sketch as before but with an attempt at an outfit. Jacket sleeves rolled up but long sleeve shirts underneath still rolled down is a vibe idk. Still not sure it’ll make it into rotation, but maybe. If I were to color it a warm red/brown it could work with the earthy/fall tones I try to give her.

Haven't had time or energy to draw but I did try to work on an old easter sketch

cropped sketch of my OC Lily, sporting a bunnysuit and doing the little heart hand sign thingy with her index and her thumb

I'm not doing anything scientific here I'm just a humble bum, but saving from bsky iphone yields different file sizes? Besides iphone converting it to jpg I can't tell the difference visually. I guess because webp is more efficient than jpg, just a little oddity.

It dulls the colors and blurs it ever so very slightly. Same size at least. What about a TINY IMAGE

does the webp change actually make the image quality better than before (test)

little doodles I liked the look of. Oval-headed Lil is the way to go.

Sketches of Lily Top to Bottom:

The first doodle is a rather aloof looking Lil, with the text stating as such. She tends to not plan ahead for anything she does, kinda flies by the seat of her pants.

The second one is one of her bored and somewhat annoyed, like she wants to be anywhere but wherever she is at that moment. The text also states she is prone to goofing off. She is uninterested in most fieldwork or research she is tasked with and often piles that work onto her partner and best friend Luis.

The final doodle is one of her raging out. Example dialogue "THE FUCK DID I JUST TELL YOU!?" She can get pretty mad, fitting right in with other members of the gang.

Found a 1960s artists course book. Pretty cool stuff, high quality printing too.

Page out of The Famous Artists Course book, detailing cartoon character design.

A Lenii for @dopelenny.bsky.social! Such a cute design deserves recognition!!!

The same image cropped. It hasn’t been resized from the og image but I wonder if cropping it will get the same amount of bsky compression.

Some of my fav WIPs this year. These were the safest for work ones I've got (which is ironic b/c the one with Dahlia is literally from a porn comic I never finished)

Syl in the pinup meme pose from earlier this year. She's eating pork rinds and holdin her phone. Not sure about the legs or proportions in general here.

Lily as a barista talking down to the customer wasting her time (she's trying to get fired). Really pleased with the hands and head/face. Also liked the way the colors look. Probably one of the most on-model drawing of Lily I've done.

Luis walking in on Lily and Dahlia hanging out in his room. Lily is holding a camera and Dahlia is dressed in fishnet lingerie for an impromptu photo shoot. Despite two girls sitting in his bed he is frustrated that they are doing this in HIS bedroom. -- This is a snippet from a porn comic I never finished.

counting this one as a WIP because I don't like the way her hair (*squints* and maybe her face??) came out and I still haven't shaded her shoes lol

Definitely did a whole lot more drawing this year compared to 2024 despite the Summer-Hell-Season nearly bludgeoning me to death. Didn't really /finish/ much but did a ton of doodling and experimenting. Learned a lot, figured out what works and what doesn't etc etc.

2024 with 129 files composed of misc doodle, sketches, finished pieces, and WIPs I never finished.

2025 with 231 files composed of many sketches/doodles/finished pieces/and WIPs I never finished.

Really didn’t like the first pass, came back three weeks later and nailed it. Captured the aura of the sketch almost perfectly. Idk man some days it’s like I max out at 25%. Gotta be a way to be 100% or at least close to it more consistently.
