And, yeah, that's the story of a botched repair that turned right, somehow. Here's a picture of the CM-32L buttoned back up. The volume knob is just how it was sold. It doesn't do anything now, as explained in the earlier posts - it's always at full volume.

A picture of a 19-inch, 12-unit high rack. It’s made out of MDF, and installed in this is a Roland U-220, Yamaha MU128, Roland SC-8850, a MIDISport 4x4 Anniversary Edition, a Roland SC-55 mark 2. There’s a blank space of 1 unit in height, and above that is a Roland XV-5050, an Alesis DM5, and an E-MU ESI4000 Sampler. Another blank 1 unit space, followed by the Alesis S4 plus, and finally a Behringer RX1602 mixer.

yeah to give you some examples of this. i really would rather just read the comments myself. i don’t need an LLM to summarise a video that i want to watch in full or to summarise what people are saying about my videos. i can use my own comprehension thank you very much

youtube mobile app, instead of showing comments by default it prompts the user to “summarise the video”

Youtube studio (web) view, latest videos replaces “comments” with an ai summary “catch me up on this video option”, comments and analytics are mere icons below this giant button

on the upside, i reshelled my GBA SP and it looks pretty snazzy, happy with how it's turned out although it was a Pain with all the micro parts and the hinges. my god the hinges. but it's done.

Something interesting about the MM3-6 vs MM1-2 SFX thing: Yeah, these games all use that slightly less beefy sounding sound, however take a note on how Mega Man 5 sounds when dealing the finishing blow. It sounds considerably more impactful vs 3, 4 or 6.

A mock up of an emulation front end, like the above post, this time the menu mentions NES titles - the right hand side menu is different in that it brings up all release dates instead of just one, and on the bottom there are button prompts for actions relating to the selected title.

considering Some Of The News Today, i wanted to mock up my own take on a front-end for retro games and keep it as simple as possible. probably something like it exists but eh i wanted to design something today lol

A mock-up of an emulation front-end, with the two primary colours being a dark, de-saturated blue and a bright beige. The left half of the screen uses the dark blue as a backdrop, with prominent elements being displayed in the beige colour, namely the system title (Nintendo 64), available games (26 in this mockup, although not all are shown), and a list of games. In particular, Cruis'n USA is highlighted, and marked as a favourite (with a star), and is also currently selected. The right half of the screen shows selection information, in this case the year of release, the company who produced the game (no publisher info as of right now), a selection of tags (in this case, N64, 1-2 Players, Port, Racing were selected), and a placeholder description.

See the first image. The only difference is the colours being pure black and white instead.

A partial screenshot of the TCRF page for The Legend of Zelda (NES), it highlights how bold text is rendered with a different font (in this case Algerian rather than Arial) resulting in very weird looking text. It might be funny but it also is annoying at the same time. The browser also uses a dark theme plugin to recolour pages so that it's white text on black backdrops (chalk on blackboard) rathern than the opposite.

I don’t use Spotify but I do use YouTube music instead and it has the same recap stuff. Frankly not surprised that 33 got the top spot as it’s an incredible album start to finish.

It describes my tastes as a “superhero” character which frankly I don’t know what it means, it has a yellow shield graphic with a red star with blue outer rings, and with a variety of colourful CDs below it all in some action-y upwards motion.

It then goes to the Top Artists section, comprising of T-SQUARE, FearofDark, CASIOPEA, Garrett Williamson and Magnùs Pàlsson, and then the top tracks, all from T-SQUARE’s album “33”, namely Iberian Seascape, Flying Colors, Again And Again, Rondo and Freeze Flame. Finally it sums up my total listening time to 1690 minutes.

it's a photoshopped picture of a beige furred cat wearing a pair of headphones (not over the ears, as his ass is NOT listening), meowing rather proudly into a blue yeti microphone (which, mind you, is incorrectly set up - it should be reversed so that the cat's majestic noise can be picked up, rather than it going to the dead end of the polar pattern the microphone might be configured for. idk. it's a blue yeti. i think it does several patterns?). anyway his ass is NOT listening and is NOT using the microphone correctly thats what matters!!!
