It's the lack of an outlet near the toilet that prevents us all from living the life with a Washlet+ Seat, and that's an easy enough problem to solve. However, their other innovative plumbing techniques are beyond my understanding. Saw so much stuff I've never seen before.

I just wanna be back walking through gardens, temples, and shrines. Meeting little stone friends.

Accidentally made a beat that goes hard as shit. I sometimes forget my goals of classical piano, and instead, make patches and play a bunch of things after jamming on the bass.

7 year old me would be screaming that in the back seat of the Oldsmobile, and probably would have gave a go at Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car" too. Songs that awoke the love of music inside us flesh bags were always best discovered in the back of a car, on AM radio.

Everyone should embrace the yukata life. The Rikishi are always wearing their yukata yet still have not figured out the beer pairing.

I assume this is close to the unwritten Patricia remedy? "Take a week, have a nice martini every evening, read a book, pet cats, and don't look at the news" With age comes the wisdom that every time you take a week or two off you usually return much stronger for a time. Muscles need time to heal

Brainwashed zombies on both sides. Speculation and misplaced anger at individuals instead of the systems that enabled them.

When I was around 7 I kept asking if he's on a horse how is it that he is out of the reigns. My step dad was never more proud.

We actually don't have many restrictions between Japan and Canada. if it can't grow, or isn't alive, you're good to go. I shoulda brought some Asahi kegs back. How are YOU doing over there? We are safe at home smothered in cat cuddles.

We have a box of sake ones, and my. Fuji cheesecake ones but they're for sharing with folks. For us... Japanese pickles, Kyoto spices, crab dashi, some drinking vinegar, and ten million random packets of things. Favorite snack tho?! Curry broad beans from Kamakura. They were beer food perfection

I think a lot of the generalizations around food culture here are from people who don't look beyond the staple food items. Also had the best burger we've had (miso something or other) at 'Richards BBQ' in Osaka. It was empty and we just stopped in for a beer haha

Ooh also fascinating to you perhaps... It was all relatively spicy to us Canadians who could drink chilli oil by the glass, and they offered no 'spice level' (I assume far too busy for that shit). The Japanese seem to love spicy things despite what people say. There's also good cheese here.

We just kept stumbling upon magical food by accident. Wandering around until something 'sounded good'. When we saw how lively, loud, and packed it was... It felt like a good change of pace from our quiet last few days. Flying home today :(

Fun fact. Tokyo has the best Northern Indian food we've ever had, and we are very much snobs and spoiled for quality when it comes to Shahi korma and Biryani. Also the nicest man ever managing the busiest restaurant and chatting with us at the same time. 10/10. Bombay Sizzlers in Tokyo

Probably the camera. But it really is breathtaking everywhere you look. I'm looking forward to making the coolest travel video for everyone close to us. It's all just trees and birds and water most likely. Haha

The bath house we were visiting us closed today so we said fuck it and went up the mountain in our yukata. Live your life and don't miss opportunities cause you think people care. They don't. No one does. Be you.

Does Stuart also watch sumo with keen interest? Cats don't often notice the television but sumo gets them all riled up. We will URA up the world. Maybe an Urazilla can be spotted in Osaka for Stuart. The least threatening gentle giant, Urazilla. P.S. winning Ura gives boring interviews.

I just love it here otherwise. We could easily move to a more remote tourist town and just exist and assimilate into the Japanese way of life. We basically live it already apparently.

So many interesting and inspiring flavours here. Perilla leaf is my new favourite ingredient. The fact I can drink beer easily here and at home it ruins my insides kinda proves my point that they've changed things in Canadian beer production. I miss good wine though...

If you are a respectful traveler it makes it sustainable for everyone to enjoy. The bigger tourism hubs have been worse behaviour than Canada, from every nationality we've been able to identify. Mixed blessings really, just like at home. (I'm a tourist town resident and always will be haha)

I appreciate an increased interest in travel, but it really feels like the worst people are doing it and don't respect the rules. We were in Japanese tourist areas, and now more global tourist areas and the difference is staggering. We saw people leave bottles on shrines...

The rain makes it far more interesting. We are stopped in Kyoto and had a full day of exploring in the rain today which was great. I underestimated the shear volume of tourists though. Once in Osaka is good enough for me haha. It's pretty but dear lord not for us.

Thank you Patricia and Stuart haha. I'm thinking about having some fun with a lot of these as a dumb designer should. The city of Osaka knows where to reach me, the internet.

We shall find out shortly. So far I haven't noticed many 'Mericans outside Tokyo consuming in the shops. They seem to come here to try and collect items instead of experiences. The Brit tourists are mostly brain-dead as ever and unaware of their ignorance of course. Mericans seem fine haha

People have poor taste in a lot of things, and no curiosity. They want to be told what's good rather than developing their own opinion. This is reflective of society as a whole rn. People need therapy, to travel, and to be less inclined to 'do their own research'... Cause they don't know how

We are safely in Kamakura, which is where we imagined moving to one day... And it already feels like home. I've never been more captivated. The sun came out for us too. Hopefully Fuji-san will appear before the day is through.

I never realized just how drab Brit and 'Mericun tourists can be. They were all miserable and wouldn't interact with our guide so I gave him someone to teach. People are so weird these days. They clearly knew little about sumo or the history and just were empty husks of flesh, void of curiosity.

and have a way of memorializing what's important that's so much less pretentious than other nations. I love it here. We're off to Kamakura today for some quiet seaside time, but we enjoyed Tokyo far more than expected. People are very warm to us too. We had a tour with our day of sumo and...
