It always amazed me how the most obscure + quirky tweet/post got a response from someone, somewhere who understood! Times change + social media is more fragmented, so many of those connections are lost. Nothing beats the unity of sharing live events + nostalgia in 1 place + escaping the real world!

If cost wasn’t a factor 2 teachers working in a class of 30 would be advantageous! Likewise teaching assistants. In larger schools with 2+classes in a year group, targeting learning needs in similar groups is easier. Class size is rarely <28 in UK. Smaller schools often merge years together instead.

From a teacher’s perspective classes exceeding 30 are harder to manage and obviously give less time to support each student individually. 15-20 is considered the optimum although larger classes can still perform with quality teaching + learning. Ultimately size is driven by cost, culture + demand.

Indeed. Where to start! You can define 80s music + even 90s: Britpop, boybands etc but what about 00s, 10s, 20s? There’s a lot of reliving 80s/90s even for those not born but does anyone know who’s number 1 today in a post TOTP/chart era or does it matter? Are we sharing the moment or in our bubble?
