Fulgur looked towards the lurcane, his eyes widened seeing the sun slowly setting down. "Has time passed so quickly?" Fulgur looked towards Sonny, who was already standing, waiting for Fulgur to lead the trek home.

—𝘙𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. Fulgur let out a light laugh, his expression a mix of amusement and feigned sincerity. "It's someone I want to...Keep hidden," Sonny's face contorted to a quizzical expression, and Fulgur smiled genuinely. "For now, of course—

—Truthfully, he is glad that his Ideals were helpf— "So, who is it?" Sonny gazed at Fulgur with an intrigued look, and Fulgur hadn't thought that through, as a direct result of his lack of sleep, Fulgur had spent mayhaps a 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 long time to ponder in who would be the victim of his supposed—

The time passed as Fulgur left Sonny to ponder, whilst he consumed a light meal provided by the tavern. At the same time Fulgur finished eating, he saw a slight spark of understanding in Sonny's eyes. Fulgur couldn't but give a small smile in return, although his attraction to someone isn't wholly—

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

—I want to marry them." Sonny shot him a dubious, "Wouldn't your attraction lead to the marriage anyway? Why waste time thinking about it?"

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

"Was it... a joke?" Sonny said, Expression ranging from confusion to borderline annoyance. "No, but it was definitely exaggerated," a small smile appeared on Fulgur's face. "I had said to Vox that I was interested in someone, just because I had a slight attraction to them, does not mean—

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

The small lounge was completely silent. Sonny—bless his soul—had such a serious expression that it was clear that he didn't mean for this to be a laughing matter. But he couldn't help but let a small chuckle slip, seeing Sonny's face twitch in response.

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

Signalling a code to the barkeeper, a small trek up the stairs had led them into a secluded seating room, the pros of being a noble, really. "So, what is it that Vox had told you?" Sonny had looked around before answering, gaze searching for a soul that might've been nosing in business that—

—tasked to do, it was why he was one of the best knights in the house of Akuma, maybe even the whole Niji kingdom. But for some unknown reason, the Knight was avoiding Fulgur's gaze, which means nothing good, he supposed. "Sonny?" The knight finally looked towards him, guiltily, and shook his—

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

Unfortunately, he's still a nobleman, born to the house of Akuma. It would be improper—dangerous even—not to go without a guard. Hence, Sonny's presence. "What had my brother relayed to you?" Fulgur looked back at Sonny, who on the daily, kept a focused gaze on everything and anything he was—

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

While Fulgur, his mood quite foul from lack of rest the night before, had insisted that he steal this chance to walk about in town. The weather in this Kingdom was never this good after all.

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

— " I heard from the young lord.." It was a sunny day, the breeze soft and the sky clear. The perfect weather to walk about in the town.

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

Before Fulgur had even gotten a sentence in, Vox had rushed out of the drawing room, going heaven knows where to help plan Fulgur's "love life". He was every meaning of the word besides the sexual connotation, much fucked.

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

You'd love to have your brother help you in your first romantic attraction? Why, of course! Anything for my baby brother, now if you'll excuse me, plans don't make themselves do they!"

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

"Get the person you've set your eyes on!" He finished with a proud smile, in contrast to Fulgurs hidden frown, sighing behind his arms as he lowered them, to only pinch his nose bridge in frustration at Vox's expression. "Vox, no—" "What's that?—

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

Curses, what if Vox decided to— Vox abruptly got up and stood in front of Fulgur, eyes filled with fire he hadn't seen his brother in months, years even. "I've decided." God no. "To be charitable and help you—" He'd rather Vox be charitable elsewhere.

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

—teased Fulgur for the lack of romance in his life. Fulgur couldn't tell the truth, not after his brother had such a joyous expression. He scratched the back of his neck in false nervousness. "To so quickly say love would be too soon...Brother, I merely said that I was interested in someone, not—

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

Vox had replied with a small chuckle in return, his smile widening as his eyes shone in interest. He's in too deep to back out now, isn't he? "I was merely teasing, but truly? Has your eyes finally found such a person to gaze lovingly at?" he replied, eyes too genuine for someone who's only—

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

"You paint me as if I am but a reclusive nobleman who doesn't socialize at all, truly, you wound me, elder brother." His tone was light and teasing, giving nothing away as he slowly placed the papers on the table, looking at Vox once more.

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

The expression Vox wore squeezed Fulgur's heart. The immense guilt for lying to his older brother was something he never wanted to experience. He just didn't want someone so close to him to worry so deeply, especially if the source of their worries was—in fact, him.

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

"I wasn't...It's just not every day that you get to hear that your baby brother, the one who always spends his entire life behind the estate's library doors is... interested in someone." Vox had an expression Fulgur couldn't quite describe. He rarely saw it on his brother.

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

whatever was on paper. "I don't know whether I should be offended by it or be proud that I even made you look so taken aback in the first place." Vox stared at Fulgur for a few more seconds before setting the teacup he held on the small table. Shaking his head as he gave Fulgur a small smile.

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

Fulgur forced a small chuckle, quickly looking back to the paper he had in hand so as to not arouse suspicion from his brother's sharp gaze. "Does the supposed news warrant such a shocked expression?" he sighed, adjusting his glasses as if to give the impression that Fulgur was intently reading—

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

So when his dearest, ever-most loveable, elder brother brought up the topic of marriage, he couldn't bear to tell him the truth. "You're interested in someone?" With his mouth hung low, Vox's eyes had widened, the evident expression of shock displayed across his sharp features.

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

He'd prefer the latter, as the former had always been such a cowardly move. But it was all well and good because they were strangers. People he didn't know and would never get to know. Because why would he get to know them after all of that, really?

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

But, sometimes other people's opinions don't stop at just being opinions that are vocalized. Sometimes, there would be whispers and rumours of many kinds. Sometimes, people would even have the gall to say it in front of him.

110

Zelli 🔮🐑(busy with Uni) @mellowzelli.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

— Fulgur has lived a fulfilling life. At least, that's what he would say about the very life he lived. But others' opinions would differ. And that was alright with him, it didn't really matter what other people thought about his life when he was the one living it.

Just remember, never take advice from someone who isn't where you aspire to be... And if anyone doesn't encourage you or believe in you. It's about them not you. You can do anything you put your mind to. Do not take on other people's limitations!! #iloveyou
