The worst part of going to the dentist is when they ask you what you've been up to since the last time you had an appointment, and you have to say nothing has changed in the past 6 months.

Yeah they did have a lot but I just ignored it lol. Idk if you feel like gotta do all the content when you play, but I think it's best to allow yourself to just skip all the shit you don't like. This patch the story seems very unimportant and I'm just gonna blaze through it/skip missions

Any of my moots who play Reverse 1999 like the new patch? After watching the trailer I'm not particularly hyped and the characters haven't interested me yet. Is there anything people like about it?

I must say aside from all the other reasons I dislike how things were ended with Merel, and with how Rhiannon was introduced, it's even worse by the fact that they introduced Rhiannon in the story and in banner just to ignore her the next patch. Why even introduce her now then?

When dismantling a couch and you don’t have a saw or fabric scissors or an actual knife, a butter knife works wonders for cutting fabric. 🙃

Ah I understand. I was hoping to give a recommendation, but I definitely like the grand strategy part more so I got nothing 😮‍💨

I didn’t know you liked city builders. Are there any others you play?

Nah but why is her head so tiny compared to her body???

MellowMelos - Free Palestine @mellowmelos.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

There's no way in Hell she could ever be friends with Vertin lmao. Though I bet that evil mf would still try just to manipulate Vertin some more whilst never telling her how she KILLED HER CHILDHOOD FRIENDS

Though a fantasy book I did hear about that sounds interesting is The City that would Eat the World by John Bierce if they have that at the library! I really want to read it but don’t have the money right now

I asked because I wrote fantasy and romance story and was wondering if you’d like to read it 👉👈 I’m not the best at writing book blurbs, so maybe you could at least give me your opinion on it and if you find it intriguing? www.wattpad.com/story/415850...

I mean I think that memories and experiences are intrinsic to what makes someone who they are, so without them I’d say they’re a different person

000

MellowMelos - Free Palestine @mellowmelos.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

If someone’s memory was magically wiped completely along with the personality traits acquired through their experiences I’d say yes, but that’s only possible in fantasy. Otherwise I wouldn’t say so

MellowMelos - Free Palestine @mellowmelos.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Oh right so then she really wasn’t special and she’s gone :(

100

MellowMelos - Free Palestine @mellowmelos.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Which was unique to her as Vertin mentioned. Though as it stands despite that, they made Rhiannon a playable character which makes it unlikely any semblance of Merel will return

100

MellowMelos - Free Palestine @mellowmelos.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

It seemed to me like he’s just a nice person and wanted to treat her well since she’s a child. I don’t think there was some kind of connection that transcended eras

100

MellowMelos - Free Palestine @mellowmelos.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

The Reverse 1999 boss of this patch kept reminding me of this

000

MellowMelos - Free Palestine @mellowmelos.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Well of course she picked him out, he looked the same. And I really don’t see the personality similarities between him and Karson

100

MellowMelos - Free Palestine @mellowmelos.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

With Duncan they showed that nothing remained, just the appearance, but also they were trying to say Merel was special in some way. But then immediately as far as we can tell that's immediately rebuked by her being fully different as Rhiannon.

100

MellowMelos - Free Palestine @mellowmelos.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

And then immediately the whole part of her maybe being alive seems to be shot down by Rhiannon existing. I suppose there could be some thing in the future where she regains her memories as Merel while retaining her Rhiannon ones, but I'm not exactly hopeful. Everything seems so unearned narratively.

000

MellowMelos - Free Palestine @mellowmelos.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

after the other children had returned, and nobody even bothered to look out the window or anything? Nobody said "huh, maybe somebody should check to see if Merel needs help." How is that believable at all? It seemed like Bluepoch was like "oh oops she's dead, but check out this cool thread!"

000

MellowMelos - Free Palestine @mellowmelos.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

children had already gotten their doves there ahead of time (thanks to Merel), but then her fight and injury seemed unnecessary. They said that was important, but it happened merely moments before Vertin got back, making it not even seem real. And also, people knew she was out there, especially

000

MellowMelos - Free Palestine @mellowmelos.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

least that was shown without a doubt. She was human, there was no shelter for her nearby, and there was nothing to be done, and it was after she had already switched sides to help Vertin, even allowing herself to get shot for it. With Merel they said she died a hero because of the doves, but the

000

MellowMelos - Free Palestine @mellowmelos.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Okay a little rant about the new Reverse 1999 chapter with spoilers obviously. I feel like Merel's reversal was really unearned and pointless. I understand that death itself can be random and deathless, but it didn't seem pointless in that way. With Schneider there was nothing to be done, but at

Also with the fact that they immediately created Rhiannon, is Bluepoch not laughing in our faces about Schneider?
