In an hour and a half I went 0-2 drop and played 4 turns of Pokemon. All joy is gone

Got turn 2 Kyurem'd and lost instantly. I hate Pokemon

Thanks! BO1 + lack of skill means I'll need it 😭

I played a lot of Moltres/Hoopa & was sad Zard did what Moltres did. Then I saw a Limitless result where someone played both and I net decked & realized Zard was just better than Moltres & it was broken with Klara and Raihan I think people underrate that Klara was too powerful to ever be reprinted

Guys I'm going to a league challenge tonight and a cup on Saturday and I'm excited to play competitive Pokémon again

Stellar Wish Jirachi means it's a top tier list though

G. Moltres: in my top 16 ArcIntel build at the 1st post pandemic regional, fun card to use Mewtwo & Mew: favorite card to cook with, cash finish RowEgg: cooked a build for Portland but JW won with it the weekend before. Proud of seeing the potential Magcargo: fav bench sitter

Kevin Clemente @mellowmagikarp.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

This was fun & a reminder that I should trust my gut when identifying under explored archetypes PikaRom: yes ZoroGarb: First regional deck, First Day 2 & cash Rad Zard Intel: brought to Worlds 2022 before it was known deck, bit undercooked but proud of seeing the potential

That's the play I'd make. I see no reason to play around Scrapper or Dusknoir and UB and Stretcher both have value given the contents of the discard and hand

010

Kevin Clemente @mellowmagikarp.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

It's played in NA but nowhere near as much and I'm wondering why

100

Kevin Clemente @mellowmagikarp.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I shouldn't have grabbed the one with Bolt as the example. The idea is 4x Crispin and basic energy vs 4 Lillie and Prism

Kevin Clemente @mellowmagikarp.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Is there a reason we see such a different version of Basic Box between Japananese players (left) and the rest of the world (right) ?

Kevin Clemente @mellowmagikarp.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Gotta make the format look not terrible

010

Kevin Clemente @mellowmagikarp.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

The format is officially cooked because what do you mean even Liam is playing Pult 😭

Ended Top 512 at 7-6-1, some insane variance in the last 3 rounds 😭 Happy with the finish but I definitely couldve played way better, deck definitely needs Chien Pao. Toucannon is cool and helps into a bunch of matchups but is probably better used on other slots Matchups below

Kevin Clemente @mellowmagikarp.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

So it's the first draft pick so your deck is currently a blank slate and everything is a 1 of, so 1 Pidgey, 1 Pidgeotto, etc. if those facts make a difference

Kevin Clemente @mellowmagikarp.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Friends and I are debating it, what's the correct answer to yesterday's Pack 1 Pick 1 @pooka311.bsky.social ?

Clefable also missing while Clefairy and Cleffa are present

Nothing makes me more irrationally angry than my opponent on PTCG Live ladder having a terrible tech card that just happens to be in their hand and good in this exact situation 😭

That was far and away the most annoying deck to do 😭

010

Kevin Clemente @mellowmagikarp.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

Cleffa is really cool because the first one to win is arguably the most important card in the history of the competitive Pokemon TCG despite being, well, just a Cleffa

Gardy stands alone as the most championships as the primary* piece of the deck *One of Mewtwo's wins was as a piece in Archie's

Number of times each Pokémon* has won the Pokémon TCG World Championships *Highest stage in deck only, form irrelevant

Vini vs Sander game 1 is one of the best piloted Pokemon TCG games I've ever seen. If you missed it, go back and watch

#PokemonTCG Worlds Prediction: One of the finalist decks will be 2 or less cards off of an NAIC top cut list

You know it's love when you both share the same video moments apart

Hard to vote against Pult both from a numbers perspective (40+% of the field) and a top player perspective

010

Kevin Clemente @mellowmagikarp.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

Haha I've cut the Clefairy and I almost entirely beat Pult via deckout

Kevin Clemente @mellowmagikarp.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

I want to join a Worlds Celebration tournament this weekend but I've only been playing Chandelure and I know it'd be a terrible use of my time 😭

Bonus question if you'd like, what was the FIRST colorless Pokemon card with Colored energy cost?

100

Kevin Clemente @mellowmagikarp.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

Not counting special things like Amazing Rares

100

Kevin Clemente @mellowmagikarp.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

Nope! This predates the correct answer by about 8 months!

000

Kevin Clemente @mellowmagikarp.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

The new Mega Ray is the first colorless Pokemon in a while that has Colored energy cost What’s the last card that was like this? - not including mechanics that do this intentionally (Tera, amazing rare)
