*my biggest and most exhausted sigh* "As AI Enters the Operating Room, Reports Arise of Botched Surgeries and Misidentified Body Parts" www.reuters.com/investigatio...

Screenshot of text reading
At least 10 people were injured between late 2021 and November 2025, according to the reports. Most allegedly involved errors in which the TruDi Navigation System misinformed surgeons about the location of their instruments while they were using them inside patients’ heads during operations.

Cerebrospinal fluid reportedly leaked from one patient’s nose. In another reported case, a surgeon mistakenly punctured the base of a patient’s skull. In two other cases, patients each allegedly suffered strokes after a major artery was accidentally injured.

Screenshot of text reading
In May 2023, Dean was using TruDi in another sinuplasty operation when patient Donna Fernihough’s carotid artery allegedly “blew.” Blood “was spraying all over” – even landing on an Acclarent representative who was observing the surgery, according to a lawsuit Fernihough filed in U.S. District Court in Fort Worth against Acclarent and several manufacturers. One of Fernihough’s carotid arteries was damaged. She suffered a stroke the day of the surgery, according to her suit.

Acclarent “knew or should have known that the purported artificial intelligence caused or exacerbated the tendency of the integrated navigation system product to be inconsistent, inaccurate, and unreliable,” the suit alleges.

The FDA requires clinical trials for new drugs, but medical devices face different screening. Most AI-enabled devices coming to market aren’t required to be tested on patients, according to FDA rules. Instead, makers satisfy FDA rules by citing previously authorized devices that had no AI-related capabilities, says Dr. Alexander Everhart, an instructor at Washington University’s medical school in St. Louis and an expert on medical device regulation.

Black residents account for about 25% of the city’s population. The disproportionate share of Black people caught up by LMPD’s use of license plate readers underscores concerns that the technology may be over-concentrated in marginalized communities. #BlackskyNews www.lpm.org/investigate/...

In Louisville, half the people charged last year in license plate reader cases were Black

In Louisville, local civil liberty advocates told KyCIR they worry anti-Black bias plays role in who gets arrested due to license plate readers.

Just had a vivid flashback to the time my ex ordered a soft boiled egg at Denny’s and I guess they didn’t know what that was so they straight up just brought him a bowl of raw eggs. Not even in the shell. Bowl of raw, liquid eggs.

late to this trend with my OC Olive Garden (I love her so much and never draw her 😔💔) #sonicthehedgehog #sonicfanart #sonicoc

A drawing of the artist (MellowElbow, aka Kate) holding up their Sonic OC. Kate has her black hair tied up with a pink scrunchie and her bangs cover her forehead. Her green eyes are wide with enamored shock as she holds up her Sonic OC, a red panda with southeast Asian inspired attire. Her top is green with a yellow band around her waist. She wears blue shorts and red sandals. Kate is wearing a dark red tank top, a pleated black skirt, fishnets, and vans sneakers- specifically the black, limited edition, ultra range gore sneakers.

Several concept sketches of Olive the Red Panda. In the upper right the descends nothing in particular (there’s no background) while looking determined. The upper middle features her in the Sonic the Sketchhog art style. The upper left shows her in a peaceful stance, looking off in the distance. The lower left shows her balancing herself between two walls to avoid falling into a pit of spikes. The lower right shows her in harmony with the life force of nature, looking like she’s illuminated by lightning bugs. Olive the Red Panda has short, auburn hair, green eyes, a light green band across her chest with a vibrant green skirt that sections off into three, yellow hemmed petals. Her shoes are a similar color scheme with a yellow band over the middle of her foot to hold the shoe in place. The toe of her shoes has a motif similar to a three petal lotus.

Rouge WIP of a friends alt design :3 (I’m never gonna finish this RIP) #rougethebat #sonicthehedgehog #sonicfanart

A cropped closeup of Rouge the Bat’s face and upper body. Shes winking and blowing a kiss toward the viewer while wearing a short pink dress and white corset with pink lace. Her blue eyeshadow is also pink in this image, to tie in with the “coquette” design

guess who just finished the rough layouts for their fancomic’s first chapter baybie #sonic #sonicthehedgehog

Sonic the hedgehog looks at the viewer with the fear of god. A single tear wells up in his eye and he has a slight grimace. This version of Sonic has slightly scruffier quills and a red varsity jacket hangs loosely over his closed off posture. An ocean wave rolls down in the background as if about to swallow Sonic.

I can’t draw her normally she always gotta be doin a fuckass pose #tikal #sonic #sonicthehedgehog

The same design as the quoted post of Tikal the Echidna, she appears more gracefully posing similar to an interpretive dancer or ballerina. Her arms are posed in a wave like fashion, one arm and hand outstretched while the other lazily shields over her heart. Her quills are flowing upward similar to when Knuckles glides through the air and her toes are en pointe.

God knows I love you so, but I won’t be your ghost :,( #amyrose #sonic #sonicthehedgehog

Amy Rose clutches what should be her legs close to her chest. She wears a Roman-esque gown that dissolves into a tail with watery ripples sectioning it. Her quills are drawn similar to her Fleetway comic design and she has pearl earrings and freckles. She looks away from the viewer, forlorn for unknown reasons.
