Healing my anxious bones with flourescent watercolor from @caseformaking.bsky.social in SF. ✨ #contemporaryart #flourescentpaint #vertebrae #naturestudies
A large white piece of paper on an easel with a sheep vertebrae resting on the ledge and a flourescent pinkish orange painting of the vertebrae. The artist’s hand rests in the corner holding a small brush.

Good morning from my quiet studio at sunrise! I call for a day of energizing contemplation, optimistic strategizing, and zero news consumption. Want to join me? #attentioneconomy #contemplative #resistance #artstudio
A reading corner in an artist studio illuminated by the sunrise with a vertical shelf of books next to a wooden table holding various leafy green plants in front of a window with palm trees.

Watching the new administration take on its hideous form and thinking of parasitic plants like these Medusa midge galls growing on sagebrush. Tiny insects subvert the sagebrush’s growth mechanisms to form their own little leafy nurseries. #art #painting #joyisresistance #parasitic #desertbotanicals

Of course it’s hard to breathe watching the news, but I am clinging to painting, to slow meditative observation of what grows in front of me, and excessive baking with our kids. I guess the first 100 days will be a lot of shock and horror, attempting to buckle into defiant joy. How about you all?
