I thought finishing the story was the end of the process. But no. Then there comes editing. It can take longer than the first draft. #indieauthorcommunity #writer #mmromance

Painted a brick house tutorial, and had the song ‘Brick House’ in my head the entire time. 😂 As always, commissions are always welcome. #ink #watercolor #urbansketch #art #commission

This is a tutorial of the beautiful Portofino. It was a struggle to simplify the complex reference photo. Remember, if you have any ideas for a commission, do DM me with a reference photo and we can discuss options. #ink #watercolor #urbansketch #art #commission #tutorial

I’m always working on my skills, as it’s important to always improve. This is a city scene, and I worked in ink on 120 pound paper. #urbansketch #ink #art

The latest in urban sketching tutorials that I love to do. It’s a house that looks very much like the houses where I live. It was fun to work on the slightly crumbling old home. #watercolor #urbansketch #art #ink #house #commission

Another late night drawing session. This is a street somewhere in Seoul, and I loved the one point perspective of this shot. This girl loves some perspective! #ink #urbansketch #drawing

🎨When I can’t sleep in the night, I will sometimes get up and draw. I will draw anything in my camera roll, as you can tell by this drawing of a grocery store freezer section. Lol. What are your favorite insomnia busters? 🎨

All I want are spring flowers right now. So I did a tutorial of these lovely flowers in a pitcher with a book and some tea, I think. Maybe it’s coffee? Anyway, I’ll be looking for flowers. 💐 #ink #watercolor #urbansketch #art #flowers #commission

It’s about time I do a clock tutorial! And I did. I will say it’s in honor of the time going back the other weekend. Having more light every evening is life giving for me. Do you like more light in the evening or does it not make a difference to you? #watercolor #urbansketch #art #commission #ink

As it is soon spring, I thought a flower tutorial was in order. I can’t wait to see the flowers peeking up through the snow. These blooms are making me happy. What is making you happy today? #watercolor #urbansketch #art #commission #ink #flowers

🎨 I thought I’d try an experiment, I did the same tutorial on two different kinds of paper. The streetcar on the left was done in my regular paper sketch pad. It is meant for dry media. What do you think? 🎨 #watercolour #urbansketch #art #ink #commissions

Doing tutorials even when I’m working on commissions is helpful for me. There is always down time in working with watercolor (drying time anyone?) and it helps to have something else to work on. Do you like to multitask? #commissions #commissionswelcome #watercolor #art #drawing #urbansketching

I just finished another door I was working on before the commissions came in. This is hands down my favorite. There is still time to book a commission before the holidays, by the way. In the meantime I’m honing my skills. #commissionsopened #watercolor #commissions #art #urbansketching

These are the tools of the trade. The box of watercolors I work with, the posca pen I add white highlights with, the three main brushes I use and the permanent black ink I draw with. The ink and pen are from Japan. It’s reay hard to find a truly waterproof ink, but this one is the best.

I was recently commissioned to do these two pieces. The first is the church where the client’s husband’s parents got married in South Africa. The second is a school and a famous type of tree that has purple flowers. Do you have a unique idea for a commission? Feel free to DM me! 😁
