I think art, literature and music have a real role to play in encouraging people to rekindle that relationship with nature.

Our song, Shaking the Dust, was originally inspired by various examples of the shoddy treatment of friends and strangers who have come and contributed so much to the life, history and culture of the UK. We hope it's a songs which can tell more than one story… meleslutra.bandcamp.com/track/shakin...

I'm really enjoying making art/craft inspired by the songs we're working on. Here's a sneak peak at one I finished at the weekend - it's called In Like A Lion #folkmusic #quilling #lion

An image of a lion's face surrounded by flowers found in the UK in March (daffodils, primroses, blackthorn, snowdrops, three cornered leek, aconite, speedwell, gorse, violets, crocuses, herb robert, red campion, periwinkle and stitchwort). Made out of paper quilling, against a green background.

The otter, is one of our favourite animals & one of the most joyous sights to be seen in our islands. In this track we try to capture some of their energy and exuberance, the grace with which they move between land and water, and their fun. #WorldOtterDay meleslutra.bandcamp.com/track/lutra-...
