✨ MAGIC IN THE MELANIN ✨ is now formatted! And this gorgeous piece was done by @cryling.bsky.social ! She's beautiful and talented AND her commissions are open. So, hire her! shop.melaninlibrary.com/products/mag...

A book page with black and white artwork of two women, one with a blunt cut bob holding a staff and the other with a big afro holding a double sided axe and wearing armor, are on the left page. The right page has the text: WE'RE GOING ON A GOD HUNT by C. M. Lockhart, Art by Karissa, Content warnings for descriptive violence. The text beneath reads: “Does it bother you?”
The question was quiet and smoky, as his voice always was, but still just loud enough to be heard. He sat with an ankle across his knee on the smooth edge of a boulder that hadn’t existed a half hour ago and let his jade eyes follow the two women walking across the silent battlefield. He hadn’t expected them to pick a fight with sentry angels the moment they arrived in heaven, but he was too fascinated by them to be surprised.

Above the page is the text: Preorder now! With a hardcover mockup of the cover for Magic in the Melanin: A Black Fantasy Anthology

At the bottom is a coffee cup line drawing with the words: shop.melaninlibrary.com above it.

The cover of Magic in the Melanin: A Black Fantasy Anthology. A light skin Black elf stands on the left in a crop top with a high top fade, square hoops, and a dragon around her shoulders. She leans her elbow on the man in the Black man in the middle. His eyes glow, he has locks with a red headband, and is holding a sword. The Black girl on the right has a large Afro, a crown, and magic. The tendrils from her magic, circle the arm of the man in the center.
