Ignês was an outstanding psychoanalyst, renowned for writing beautiful, literary papers, full of understanding of the pains and pleasures of being human.

John Steiner, Eileen McGinley and Orna Hadary will discuss some of the many different aspects of Ignês’s rich and original contribution to psychoanalysis.

The event will be chaired by Gigliola Fornari Spoto.

After the summer holidays an 11-year-old girl patient comes back and is very pleased, though she does not express it, with a box of bricks which I had prepared for her. She had a similar but smaller box of bricks given after the Easter holidays, and remarked on that occasion that it would be nice to have a larger box as well.
