Highly recommend this - debut album from Reliquia. I’ve had it on repeat today - all kinds of gothy, doomy, atmospheric goodness. Perfect for a rainy Tuesday. Enjoy! 🤘🖤🤘 #metalsky reliquia.bandcamp.com/album/in-the...

Thanks so much for all your recommendations. ☺️ I have discovered so many new bands that I love because of you!!! I especially look forward to your list of new metal every week - it’s like Christmas!!! Thanks again and greetings from Australia!!! 🇦🇺🤘🎶

Laura S @melancholycanuck.bsky.social · 30/03/2026

Thank you - yes!!!! Sometimes I avoid these types of bands or albums altogether because I’m afraid I won’t like it. Which sounds crazy, but seems rational in my anxiety-riddled brain…😂🤘😂

Lömsk’s debut full-length album is fantastic!!! I’ve had the single ‘of Iron and Blood’ on repeat since it came out, and the full album does not disappoint. It’s powerful, brutal, melodic black metal at its finest. 🤘🖤🤘 #metalsky lmsk.bandcamp.com/album/act-ii...

I genuinely thought he called you a ‘silly goose,’ until I figured out that is a band.

Laura S @melancholycanuck.bsky.social · 11/03/2026

I’m learning it too! I’m on Day 749. I love it - still can’t really speak it, but it’s been a blast to learn. ☺️

I had no idea they were back!!! The song is SO good!!! Love the bass especially…🤘🤘🤘

It’s definitely an acquired taste, for sure. Definitely worth giving it a shot, but I’ll admit it’s probably not for everyone. 😂☺️

This is unhinged, in the best way possible. The toy piano is just…*chef’s kiss.* Love this album and this band. 🤘🖤🤘 #metalsky youtu.be/1enSUZ-A-HM?...

Haha not at all!!! 😂 And I get the same reaction from people but for me, it’s like the music helps suck the pain from my head. Sounds crazy, but it definitely helps! Glad you’re feeling better. Headaches are awful. My mom said my first words were “head hurts.” I don’t know life without them. 😂

I get migraines. I can totally relate. People think I’m weird when I say metal helps, but…it does. Hope you’re feeling better now! 🤗🤘

Laura S @melancholycanuck.bsky.social · 17/01/2026

I love it!!! They seem to have a talent for blending gorgeous melodies and harshness without either seeming out of place, if that makes sense? And then throwing in random classical guitar solos…and it all seems to fit. Love it!!! 🤘

Laura S @melancholycanuck.bsky.social · 16/01/2026

Me too!!! I’ve listened to the recent album a few times now and it really is excellent!!! I love it! I’m going to listen to the Forest one today.

Oh. Beato is boomin'🥴 But tbf, if my entire perception of "metal" was based on hazy nostalgic recollection & the contents of the "Hard Rock/Metal" section of your typical suburban-mall CD shop (the one across from the Hot Topic, ofc!), I'd think metal was "dead" too.🧐 youtu.be/CaRC0rPpz1w #metalsky
