Third and last of the simple mobs I modeled to test the Blender-to-Godot import workflow. This is a simple turret made with the same stile of the ShredSpinner, and the same eye. there're no projectiles at the moment because I still have to learn how particles and effects work in Godot.

A robot-like model to use as a basic enemy for a videogame. This spinning top with blades and an ominous bionic eye is not more complex than the "SaucerSlime", but at least I made a proper death animation for it. Designed for being just a patrol foe with simple behavior.

Finally understood how to successfully create and export animated 3D Models from Blender to Godot. This is one of the models I made for the test. It's just a toony slime on a flying-saucer-shaped vehicle, but I needed something with simple animations to start.

Problem I found about Importing models for games: There's a way to make procedural eyes like I do into game engines, but it's very costly for game performance and my mental health. Gotta find a different way to make animated cartoony eyes for my characters if I want them in videogames.

The same 3D models of yesterday, but with black outline and cel-shaded material. I already know there's no way to directly import a material like this to a game engine, but I heard most of those have their own way to make cel-shaded materials. Gotta learn how to if I want to use this style.

I started learning game development, and I modeled some basic object that may work as game assets. All of these objects use the same material, but It's not baked. Yet. I'll decide what to do with these once I finish the tutorial and choose which ones to keep.

My current WIP. I'm remodeling and optimizing the Faerig because the "old" model (www.newgrounds.com/art/view/mek...) was more messy than I thought. In the meanwhile, I also took a look at some guides and learned how to draw geometrical shapes procedurally. Very useful for Sci-Fi stuff.

This week has been quite troublesome for me, but I wanted to create something anyway. This is a Lantern Slime: a variant of the common slime that's characterized by white eyes with black sclera and a lantern-like appendage on top. It uses to live in dark places.

Hey, look! An animation that's not just the 3D model rotating on itself! I finally took some time to learn how animating works in Blender, and I used the Angel Mirror for the first test.

I'm kind of busy with an elaborated project these days, so here's another fanart to gain some time. This the Angel Mirror: a high-rank foe from @kupogames.bsky.social's Epic Battle Fantasy 5. Actually it doesn't tilt the frame like that in the game, but the way I modeled it gave me some "extras".

I rigged the silly cat-shaped cacti and made some poses to test it. I don't have a precise idea on how I could use this, but at least it's kind of ready now (just for Blender, but still... ...)

This, is a CATTUS. Silly little cactus with feline traits that I made with some basic techniques and about the same shader I made for the EBF5 Water Slime. It's just the model for now. Armature and rig are coming.

I rigged the three little critters, so they can be animated now. Not that I know how to properly animate yet. It's just another thing that I have to learn if I want to make proper assets for videogames.

Another fanart dedicated to @kupogames.bsky.social's Epic Battle Fantasy, since the 3D model of Heaven's gate got some attention (at least here on BlueSky). I wanted to try modeling some of the foes too, and I started with something simple: a Zircon ore, a Metal idol and a Water slime.

Yesterday I learned that shaders from Blender are incompatible with popular game engines like Unity or Godot, so my work on 3D Cel-shading has not been very useful so far. Gonna pause it until I find a solution to the little issue.

Another inanimated object in 3D to try shading, but this time a fanart. This is THE Heaven's Gate from Epic Battle Fantasy: @kupogames.bsky.social's most popular game series These are three versions with three different shading approaches: pure 3D, 3D with outline, and Cel-shading with outline.

Before getting to more complex models, I wanted to test a different 3D-coloring technique, that should suit more my cartoonish style. Some of the results are pretty good, but as I increased the complexity of the models the problems started to show up; one of which is with transparent objects.

Third and last 3-pieces part of Lucy's balloon sequence, where she realizes what the "XXXXL" on the balloon actually means. I really like how I can make different angles by just moving the camera around in the scene, but I still gotta find a good style for colors and lights.

MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 07/05/2026
Second 3-pieces part of Lucy's balloon sequence, with the predictable blowback. In this part I made more little tests with the use of curves as motion lines. I have no idea how I could implement them in animations, though. Gotta check for more.

Some more toony stuff with my OC Lucy, to test different poses and deformations. I wanted to make a "TFs sequence" like those I used to make with digital art (except that here the camera moves everytime, so it's more like a mute comic), so I quickly modeled a fancy balloon for Lucy to inflate.

MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 01/05/2026
Some renders of my OC Lucy squashed by a cartoonishly big weight. The good news is that I managed to recreate the "flat along a path" effect and made it easier to control. The bad news is that her eyelids and lashes disappear when flattened the way I made here. Gotta find a way to solve this issue

My second attempt at modeling a human-like character. This is Lucy Henberg: one of the last Original Characters I made in 2D before all the events that lead me to 3D modeling. I say This model looks way better than the one of Katia I made, but there're still several problems to (learn how to) fix.

Some renders of Phil on a Desktop that I modeled and textured from scraps, based on my real one. The writings carved on the mug are my old tagline (Si vis pacem para bellum) and a new one. I'll probably use one of these as new profile pic (for now), since I don't make 2D digital art anymore.

I finish the Spoofy Quartet showcase with some toony deform renders of Mike and June. For the former I made him overstretch the mouth to try the mouth's topology, which seems to work very fine. With the latter I made a second attempt at the thumb-blow hand inflation trick, with good results as well.

MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 07/04/2026
Fourth and last member of the Spoofy quartet; her name for now is June. June is the second girl of the quartet; she's lively, sporty and quite defiant. Her precious is a toy hammer that's sturdier than it looks and that she doesn't hesitate to use when necessary (and also when it's not, sometimes).

MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 31/03/2026
The third one of the spoofy quartet is also the very first spoofy that I made a 3D model of. His name is Mike, and he's the "fart smella" of the team. Slow brain, zero common sense, but pretty optimistic and supportive. His pet-item is a metal screw that, luckily, is stainless and anti-corrosion.

MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 28/03/2026
I got back to my PC after a short, forced pause. Before introducing the other two spoofies of the quartet, I tried something more with Phil and Val, and rendered some Toons&TFs with another technique. I made the former flattened on his own book, and the latter fully inflated (more than usual).
020
MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 21/03/2026
After rigging and making some poses with Phil, I did the same with the green one and called her Valentine. Val is the girly one of the quartet. She's elegant and kinda refined, but also vitiated and bad-tempered. Her "precious" is a little toy wand that she likes to play with and wave around.

MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 17/03/2026
After modeling 4 different variants of the spoofy, I wanted to make some poses and characterize them a bit. This one is Phil, and technically he's the leader and smart fella of the quartet. Kinda serious and cultured for a silly ghost, his "precious" is a tome about magic and creatures like him.

MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 14/03/2026
Once again, I headed back to my original colorful balloon ghost and decided to use all the practice I made to optimize both geometry and armature, hopefully once and for all. For this, I also wanted to make 4 variations with 4 different hairstyles: two males and two females.

Fourth an final part of the 3D-sequence in which the fancy Chaos sprite/Clown fairy I made inflates to a huge blimp. Sort of. I also found out the slight mess of lines on their belly is caused by the shrinkwrap used to make her body round. Don't know how to fix that in a good way yet.
010
MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 07/03/2026
Third part of the "sequence" in which my first version of the Chaos sprite/Clown fairy inflates like a balloon. I don't know the origin of those weird lines on their body. They should be the pouch, but they're too wide for it. Maybe it's just poor optimization of modifiers.
010
MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 05/03/2026
Second part of the first actual inflation sequence I make on Blender. I had some troubles figuring out a way to make the clown fairy's entire body look quite inflated, and I still think I used a very poor method for it, but I'm using that method now and I'll make the entire sequence with it.

MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 03/03/2026
Before finishing with the Clown Fairy (for now, maybe), I wanted to try an inflation seqeunce like those I used to make years ago in 2D digital. Since this is 3D, I can and I'm gonna post a couple of pics of each sequence step to show different angles.

Heading back to the work on the Chaos Sprites/Clown Fairies with more poses and renders. As their second name suggests, these little sprites are also able acrobats who love circus acts and toony antics.

Something a bit special I made quickly for my birthday. This is Katia Verrensi: the first original character I ever publicated online. Since I still have to understand how to create and rig actual clothes, I designed this little bunnygirl costume for her as replacement.

My first attempt at properly modeling a humanoid character. This is a chaos sprite, mostly known as clown fairy. Small, playful sprites subject to toon physics and able to make others subject to it as well. They like pranks, oversized objects and colorful, round things.

A little funny "sequence" made with my new bunny-like creature. Like I used to draw years ago on digital art, I made a balloon blowback sequence: a classic of old-school cartoons. Probably I'll also animate it some day, but I prefer to focus on 3D models and poses for now.

A little bunny-like creature with the same procedural eye I used for Starlow's fanart. Their (provisorial) name is Munbun, obviously based on the lunar rabbit myth; characterized by a soft, round body and luminous, strong floating paws.

MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 04/02/2026
My first fanart made with Blender. I wanted to do something simple to begin, and I picked Starlow from the Mario&Luigi series. Of course, the model is fully rigged and animable; I also made a second model, close to the source as possible, to show the difference and what I added to my version.

Made some more tests with the Lattice modifier and found a way to make the character movable while being deformed by it. Here're some pics of Gemma inflated like a balloon thanks to it. Yes, she's quite stretchy and that thing on her tail is a valve.

MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 24/01/2026
The goofy giraffe-like mob from some days ago, upgraded into a proper character. Her name is Gemma, and she probably looks much more like a dinosaur than a giraffe now. The main purpose for which I made her was to try more modeling and rigging of byped characters, and something else as well.

Some simple monsters and procedural textures that I could use for a future videogame, in case I find the time to learn videogame development too. None of these is rigged and animated so far, but I could do it later if they're approved (by me or unlikely co-developers) for any game projects.

MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 15/01/2026
Something a little different from the creatures I made so far. Magmaggot is meant to be a creature of Nightmare and Fire type: A larvae-like monster with stings on both tail and arms, strong mandibles and the ability to spit an extremely hot liquid with which they carbonize both preys and threats.

MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 12/01/2026
I went back to fix my early 3D creatures and I made the little air-type snail animable. This went a little smoother than with Faerig because I decided to just model it anew from basic shapes instead of using the standard retopology process. The only real problem has been with the spiral shell.

MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 09/01/2026
More examples of cartoony eyes I created for practice. Thanks to my procedural technique I can give any shape to the pupil (even if elaborated shapes require a pre-made image) and even add textures to the eye, to make thinks like scattering little stars all into it.

MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 07/01/2026
Some procedural eyes I recently learned to make. "Procedural" means that the texture can be entirely edited on the program itself, during animations as well. These are some examples I made for practice, with the top left being the style I always used to draw for my digital artworks.

A 3D model of a little creature called Kichick: a fluffy bird characterized by comically long legs. This one is a little different because I had no sketch to begin with; only some notes and concepts. I'm afraid I made a little mess with the wings and the colors here. Oh well, ... ...

Second test for Toons&TFs; after the flattening, inflation with a helium tank. The result is not that bad, but a bit clunky since I used a Lattice modifier for the chest and one per cheek. Add to them the one used for the flattening and it makes 4.

MekerevToonArt 🔞 @mekerevtoonart.bsky.social · 31/12/2025
Before the end of the year, I wanted to make some tests to realize in 3D the same "funny stuff" I used to make with digital art (www.deviantart.com/mekerevtoona...) This is a quick use of the Lattice modifier to flatten a faerig like a paper sheet and make it glide like a leaf.
