My “Spartan” had to return to duty the night after this run, so it may be months if not a year until we can jump in again as a full fireteam. In this one, we even get a dev insight on in-fiction ordnance. Also… despite the commentary we were having a *ton* of fun. www.twitch.tv/videos/28372...

Former colleagues used to tease I birthed Spartans. Coincidentally, during Army BCT, my son got assigned to a platoon nicknamed “Spartans”! The surprise visit two weeks ago was perfect timing for the 4 of us to jump into Campaign Evolved. I saved highlights: www.twitch.tv/videos/28364...

My usually up late daughter poked at me and said it was 1:30 in the morning and that she was going to bed. 😳 Oops! Truly! Time flies when you’re having fun! (Of course this old gal jumped in solo on Heroic! Reserving the Legendary run with the hubby just like ol times!) #halo25

Got Excision done for the first time. That was really fun. But that cutscene…! I was both dreading watching it happen (oh my heart!) but also happy I finally got to see it — and hear my Guardian speak. 😊

mehve @mehve.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

Here is one way I look at it… we used to have only what came in the box, on that one disc. Thousands of hours of gameplay available without the need to rush, discover at your own pace. Has an online game ever recovered from a “last update”? If not.. why can’t we rally for this one? #destinythegame

I, for one, did not expect “THAT”(and in all caps even) to be in front of my name in this announcement. I am gobsmacked humbled. Thank you! It was a lotta fun to revisit with John-117, and I hope the team and community enjoy the piece. #halofest2026 www.halowaypoint.com/news/halo-fe...

Halo Fest – Featured Artists (June Update)

<p>Welcome back Halo fans! We’re officially less than 6 months away from Halo Fest and the excitement is most certainly in the air! Today we’ve got some more exciting news to share but as usual let’s ...

mehve @mehve.bsky.social · 28/06/2026

I have been enjoying catching up on my Destiny 2 campaigns and the trains in Edge of Fate reminded me of the El trains of 80’s Chicago. Then my brother just showed me this image. Guys… Ravenswood was my home stop. I am shook and deeply touched, even if just a coincidence…

I swear, I was ONLY on PS *just* to tour houses. But noooo… So, I got an Orc Head Statue and the contest was to decorate it. With absolutely limited resources, this random idea was born. Chuckle-worthy, I thought. At least I hope you think so?

A duel of epic proportions. Rock. Paper. Scissors!

ESO Housing: “The Sleeper” a Home Goods Only build

How’s this for #ThrowbackThursday …I did this ad illustration ca 1995 using Adobe88 on a MacCentris, back when making gradients meant layering shapes of varying shades of black. The page weighed in at roughly 900KB, or at most 1.2MB. The whole comicbook was done this way. 😄

At times, walking in virtual worlds is a calm escape. But doing it in a post-apocalyptic West Virginia…? I was bound to encounter allegorical moments. 😅 #fallout76 #fallout

I was in Fallout 76, looking for mutated fern flowers in the Cranberry Bog, when the warning for a nuclear strike came up. The image of me in my hotrod excavator power armor in a field of grass as the mushroom cloud rose above a distant forest felt poignant. I had to take a picture of it. And share.

In the recent update to FO76, I took the opportunity to become a ghoul, basically starting over with a new character. I had to walk everywhere to unlock landmarks when we aren’t in a group with seasoned players…and I encountered this little tableau. A picture is worth a thousan words, folks!

Churchill vs Panzer! WWII tanks or futuristic walking tanks. All the same to my favorite spaceship guru. 😁 Will be sharing this with the kids. They love Hannaford’s work in Halo and Destiny, they’ll be chuffed to see him tackle WoT vehicles. 😊

Manic Monday? I refuse! How about a …Maker Monday…? 😄 Here’re a few things I made in the last few weeks. A totally random collection. Also. Hi. How’s it goin?

A winning entry into an ESO housing “Love is in the air” contest: An enchanted dirigible awaits Sir Stefan who is reluctant to say farewell to his lady love. The juvenile griffons stand watch as a rain cloud looms to hasten him on his journey.

One of three winners in an ESO housing contest “Romantic dinner.” My caption read: Afternoon tea blossoms into a romantic dinner as the sun dipped closer to the horizon.

The lakeside setting for two in the private Redguard-style gazebo is dappled by sunlight filtering through the nearby trees. The placid lake waters is graced by flowering water lilies, disturbed only in the distance by a wide tumbling waterfall.

First attempt at making an ad hoc dessert treat: Chocolate covered “brownie bites” made with peanut butter, dark chocolate syrup, and instant coffee. Coated with melted Fortunata 68% cacao dark chocolate and sprinkled with coarse salt.

Gift portrait illustration of a friend’s beloved pet. I used ProCreate on iPadPro.

From getting in line for store service or at the lemonade stand, or using photo mode … What’s a little RP among friends and family? 😅 Fun! That’s what. #fallout #fallout76 #FO76 #rpg #mmporg

Minerva’s in town and we had gold bouillon to spend. Here we are waiting patiently in line for our turn to shop her wares in front of Whitesprings Mall.

Grahm, our favorite mutated wandering merchant, was spotted with his pal, Chally the MooMoo on the road by Lakeside Cabins. Hubby and I pause for a minute to shop and listen to the beloved Grahm ramble on like a post-apocalyptic Forrest Gump.

Flush and over-encumbered with loot from a Scorched Earth event, we came across a lemonade stand and stopped for much-needed hydration.

Photo-op shenanigans! This is an older pic. My son appear to be dragging his older sister by the collar mid-jump. Hubby is jumping too. I cover my optics against the imminent collision. We’re such goofs! 😆 Not evident here but there was a lot of laughter and giggling involved by adults and kids alike while screenshots were taken.

mehve @mehve.bsky.social · 30/01/2025

I wish I had done this earlier than I did. It was to help out a friend’s racing program, and also to lift his spirits. He has since retired from racing, but I hope this serves as a fun memento of his career. #arttherapy #illustration #motorcycle #racing

Jeremiah Johnson was born and raised in Hawai’i where he currently resides. The Hawaii State Flag is shown as a backdrop. The small text is a list of where raced, and his favorite tracks are shown as mini-map overlays. He was among the very few in the last ten years who raced super bikes with electric drivetrains, helping advance the technology, hence the subtle electric plug graphical inclusion. 64 is his usual race number.

I dislike the sudden hesitation—an overwhelming fear, really—to keep going for “fear of messing up” (I am merely scribing the lines “already there” in the scene I’ve visualized!) Using my kids’ markers is supposed to invoke “sketching” but my lines are too deliberate?? Arrgh! #illustration #sketch

What I discovered about me during this period of burnout was…drawing something to help someone I know was easier than drawing for myself. In a fit of “I wanna cheer someone up” I did these analog sketches for my ESO guildies:

The Iron Giant movie was definitely one of a kind. I loved that character and the robots in Miyazaki’s Laputa: Castle in the Sky. I channeled those feelings and out came my “Robot and…” sketch series. Gotta do more of these!

Hello, thank you for the follow, reacts, and kind comments. While art and games give me personal joy, it is a greater joy to see others delight in what I have created or help create. I appreciate you being here as I relight the ol fires, and see what rises.

As the saying goes…there’s a Godzilla in all of us. Here, Godzilla screams at the cold heavens like a totem of my soul. I built this to-scale with rocks and boulders in Elder Scrolls Online, Xbox/NA.

In 1989, my younger brother and I didn’t have enough money between us to buy the poster of our favorite album from ‘87. So we used school supplies to make our own. I rescued it from my brother’s discard pile many years ago and had it professionally framed. Not bad for a couple o teenagers!

Our New Year gamer shenanigans meant launching a nuke in lieu of watching fireworks.

We posed in our Power Armor for pictures after the blast doors come down.

We took a few seconds too long with the heroic shot we almost missed the actual nuke, seen here just beyond the rise on the near horizon while we stood on rooftop of my son’s C.A.M.P.

I’ve been noticing more mom/grandma gamers out there. And I love it. Bdays for our kids over the years included Raid clears and LAN parties. Here we are on final boss in FO76 over the holidays. Gotta make treasured memories where/when we can make ‘em. #fo76 #fallout76 #familytime #gamerlife
