Super excited to present at #SICB2025 tomorrow on #DeconstructingSex as part of the "Moving Beyond Binary Sex Categories" symposium. Would love to see y'all in International Salon 6 from 10:30-noon, but especially from 11-11:15a 😉

Cheesin'! Had a great time conversing with and sharing my work with wonderful @wellesleycollege.bsky.social students. Many thanks to the Neuroscience department and my amazing friend and scientist Dr. Courtney Marshall for the invite!

I'd like to thank the TERFs and the haters over on The Other Site for this awesome Altmetric score. If you'd like to see what got them so mad, check out @mjhill.bsky.social, @phdoll.bsky.social and my paper on deconstructing binary sex in scientific research 👇🏼 authors.elsevier.com/a/1hxua,QxXk...
Altmetric attention score of 211. "About this attention score: in the top 5% of all research outputs by Altmetric"

Published! The chapter is finally closed on my dissertation project. Excited and proud to share our study. We found hypothalamic cells that control eating based on adiposity and reproductive stage. (P.S. Let's see if Bluesky beats the crumbling platform for likes!) doi.org/10.1016/j.is...
Graphical abstract. The top row says "low adiposity" with a skinny mouse. There is a coronal section of a mouse brain highlighting the arcuate and tuberal nucleus of the hypothalamus. An arrow points to "Food Intake." The bottom row says "High adiposity" and has a fat mouse. The same coronal section as above is reproduced, but now there's a line ending in a blunt arrow, indicative of inhibition, at "Food intake". Both rows' brains are being pointed to by a depiction of "metabolic cues (adipokines)" and "ovarian hormones."
